Is Miami as bad as they seem?

Everyone is saying “look who we just played, if we played the Saints, Pack or Pats we would have been killed” Well not so fast young grasshopper. I’m not saying that the Phins are going to be the next team in the big dance, but they may not be as bad as they seem either.  Look at who the Phins have played so far:

4 out of 6 will be playoff teams this year and will end with great records. We all know about New England, Houston will win that division this year, SD for all accounts might win the West this year, and NY Jets are one play away from the Super Bowl the last couple of years. Now granted Miami is not in the caliber of those teams, but his first start of the year! How many butterflies would you have playing in a stadium that has that much tradition for him? A high school championship, a college championship, and basically the entire stadium filled just to see you. I’d be nervous too.

I’m not saying I’d take that kind of output every week from Tebow, but this week I say he did what we wanted him to do, WIN! I’d give the game ball to the defense. The D out played themselves this week. They kept us in the game until the very end and champions win when the games on the line no matter the opponent. If the D keeps us in every game and Tebow has to win it in the 4th quarter I see glory coming our way. Chicago had this mentally a few years back and it led them all the way to the Super Bowl.

The recipe for success in the NFL is not written down in any cook book, but if it was I’d say it start with a great Defensive team, add in a sound game plan, and then blend in a QB that will win it when the game is on the line. John Elway wasn’t given the name “Comeback Kid” for all the blow out wins his offence put up either.
