Just wanted to let those of you talking about selling PSLs, quitting the site, taking a break (welcome back Bret Favre er, um I mean boydy2669 ;-}, mopping around, hanging your heads, pouting and quitting on the Denver Broncos because of the QB controversy and all that has or hasn't happened in the past three months....every second that you stay on the Bronco Fanwagon is an eternity too long.
BTW the words Josh McDaniels will be among other words used after the stars.
Actually I wrote this a while back but was unable to send it due to having computer issues and or have been out of reach. This was going to be a reply to grind_core for misunderstanding and or misconstruing my question posed to oorang blood about why he would quit the Broncos after 35 years because Tim Tebow wasn't starting and if he every quite the Broncos after 35 years when Josh McDaniels was hired or during his tenure.
It was a well written, simple, thought provoking question and I was genuinely interested in hearing his answer. Regardless of what grind_core, BeachBronco and the other Tim Tebow and Josh McDaniels supporters will say. It's a timely and poignant question considering the current state of the team and its fans and considering the state of the team and its fans A FEW SHORT MONTHS AGO when Josh McDaniels was the acting HC/GM.
Question: "Just Curious. Did you quit watching when Josh McDaniels took over as the HC/GM of the Broncos? Did you quit watching the Broncos at any point during the Josh McDaniels tenure?"
He didn't answer the question and of course the Josh McDaniels freaks came crawling out of the woodwork. You are relentless, I'll give you that. Lost and clueless but relentless. Poor grind_core, he is still using words like "You guys?", "trolls" and "Please come harder or don’t come at all". Comments like that make me wonder which is worse, the DP or the MHR?
Then there was a discussion about the Bronco players that were traded by Josh McDaniels quitting on their team, the Denver Broncos, and this is what jumped into my head.
"They didn't give up on The Broncos because Josh McDaniels was never a part of the Broncos organization. Those players that got traded were drafted by the Broncos played hard for the Broncos, were successful for the Broncos and wanted to continue to be Broncos....until Josh McDaniels starting spitefully tearing apart a very young, very talented, very productive and very promising offense, tearing apart the team, tearing apart the organization and tearing apart the fan base.
I was simply asking a Broncos fan of 35 years why he would give up on his team of 35 years because Tim Tebow was not starting and how he could not give up on the Broncos when Josh McDaniels was embarrassing the Denver Broncos and literally tearing the Broncos Organization apart for selfish reasons.
This is a very interesting, thought provoking and simple question. If you're going to be a quitter then how could you not quit on the Broncos during the Josh McDaniels era? He was the worst HC hire in team history. He was the worst, most destructive HC/GM in team history and possibly NFL history so that sounds like the perfect time for a quitter to quit. Some fans would have even understood your plight and offered you a seat back on the Fanwagon when Josh McDaniels was gone, not your favorite seat but a seat none the less.
Tim Tebow is a single player on a team that is rebuilding due to the atrocity that Josh McDaniels has left EFX. Tim Tebow is a question mark that may or may not be ready to play NFL QB between the 20's for 16 games.
Tim Tebow has issues prioritizing his life as an NFL QB. He screwed up his chance to start this year because he didn't practice worth a damn and wanted the job handed to him. Tim Tebow was too busy during the off season selling books, soft drinks and showing people his underwear to connect with his team mates and make the necessary changes in his game to become an NFL QB. Which brings up that word again "hypocritical". How many of the 7 deadly sins did I just mention in reference to Tim Tebow?
Folks here want to quit the Broncos because Tim Tebow is not starting? Quit then you Quitters! Get off the Bronco Fanwagon because you stink.
You say those former Denver Bronco players quit on the team when they actually just couldn't stomach playing for Josh McDaniels and now you all know the reasons for their malcontent. You mock them for so called quitting on the Broncos and now you hypocrites are the one's actually quitting on the Denver Broncos for no good reason. Quitting on the Broncos, selling PSL, bad mouthing the organization for Tim Tebow?! I know, you'll say that "there's more to it than just Tim Tebow". Whatever, you're still quitters quitting on the Denver Broncos. I never quite on the Broncos even during the darkest daze of the Organization caused by Josh McDaniels. I absolutely was numb with fear and disbelief and anger but I never quit.
So I say Quit you quitters and Get out.
p.s. I just read Royal's introspective on hoping that Orton gets hurt and wondering if it's right or wrong. Of course it's wrong (and immature) to hope that players get hurt and that goes for Cutler, Marshall, Schef and Hillis too. Now a similar question to those of you that do hope that those four players and others do get hurt (and you know who you are children, because you've mentioned it here before).
Similar question to the one above about quitting because of Tim Tebow.
How can you also not hope that Ray Lewis or James Harrison run into Josh McDaniels at full speed and hit him in the sternum with the top of their helmets? Both of these questions completely baffle me. How can you wish ill will and serious injury on Denver Bronco players past and present that have done nothing wrong to the organization or the fans and not wish even worse on Josh McDaniels who was a spiteful egomaniac that actually caused the organization, it's players and fans short term and long term damage and embarrassment?
