I am not sure why that would be the case
This team knows two things, neither Orton nor Brady is the long term solution at QB, what it doesn’t know is if Tebow is the answer or not, while I agree that Tebow may get yanked if he keeps stinking up the joint and doesn’t show any improvement, I doubt they go to Quinn, my guess would be to maybe go back to Orton, hopefully try to increase his potential trade value, franchise him and then do a sign and trade with someone.
There is no value in starting Quinn at this point IMO.

Orton got his shot, he failed.
Tebow is getting his shot, he is currently failing.
Quinn has not gotten a shot and he hasnt done anything not to deserve one. If Tebow sucks for another game or two, it will be an injustice not to give Quinn a shot.

Why would it be an injustice
This ain’t pop warner, you don’t get to play for being on the team. Quinn has had five years to prove he is inept, Orton got his shot, but as I pointed out, my guess would be to hopefully see if we could trade him for something versus letting him go for nothing.

QUINN IMO
showed the denver broncos that he could beat them while playing for the browns if not for a dropped pass by kellen winslow 3years ago, ive always said hes the best QB on this roster. i know for a fact and stateded he would get a shot this season, but i thought Orton wouldve been traded & Tebow wouldve gotten injured giving QUINN his shot.

Ok...Tebow is 1-1....2-3 as starter...played 1 horrendous game......so we should get rid of him? Wow.....patience dont exist any more I see.
Foxy...you WERE on the hot seat, but you fooled me you rascally old deveil...keep building that team mate!
"Tebow is a special player. I have never seen a player quite like him in my whole career! I’m gonna play all out for the guy! I know he will be out there giving 110% every play every week, so I’m gonna give 120%!:

It would be a mistake to franchise Orton now. We couldn'd dump him with his 8 million for the year salary why would we be able to for a 16+ million dollar one?
If teams wouldn’t give him what he wanted this year they surely won’t next year. I don’t want to be stuck with that kind of dough for Orton

Franchising him doesn't mean you have to sign him
It just means that other teams who may sign him would have to give up picks to sign him, so basically you force him to make a deal with the Broncos that another team wants and then trade him, we could franchise him, sign him to a resonable 5 year deal and trade him to someone, if no one wants him, then we can cut him without signing him, we wouldn’t have to sign him technically until July, so we have that many months to make a deal.

No way do we franchise Orton. I get your thinking...but I think Elway wants to move on from all things McDaniels.

and if nobody picks him up we are stuck with a back up QB for 16+ million for that year. Bad idea.
If we franchise him and he signs his tender then we owe him that money. And what if he refuses to re-negotiate a long term deal with us? We are stuck with the bill. No thanks

Great idea Broncoman
however, sign and trades happen frequently in the NBA, I have never seen it in the NFL.
I believe it is too late to get anything for Orton, he walks at the end of this season, and I would be surprised if there is a great deal of interest in him as anything but a back up….just sayin
If Tebow doesn't show improvement...
they should throw Weber in there. The rumor mill had him looking better than expected.

Brandstater looked good in the preseason too during his first year. Putting in Weber will show us what we already know.
Our team is horrible and he won’t make it any better. Especially behind our O-line

What?
This o-line is not as bad as you proclaim it to be. It helped make Mcgahee become one of the top 10 rushers in the NFL and before the Tebow takeover was one of the top 5 in protecting the QB.

ok, our O-line is good in run protection but not that good in pass protection. We really also didn't play any really good defenses before we started Tebow.
Miami is ranked 11th in defense I believe and Detroit has one of the best front 7 in football.
I think our o-line is worse than you give them credit for personally. Clady and Kuper are studs but they have regressed this year (possibly due to scheme change or due to inexperience around them.

Reading through the comments at bottom of this article
It shows how much other fans of teams absolutely hate Tebow. The most illogical comments have the most “thumbs up” and least “thumbs down”.

Yep...all I want is for Tebow to get the same playing field as other young rookies QB's...our fan base and team clearly dont want to give him that....makes me a little ashamed to be honest.

I agree. For some reason he has higher expectations than any player before him that I can remember.
