I was a little bored this afternoon, so I thought I would fire up Madden and play the upcoming Broncos/Chiefs game. I ratcheted the difficulty up to the max and decided to see what would happen. This made me think about the yearly Madden Super Bowl prediction and I thought why not do that during the regular season with the Broncos' games? So here it is, the first of my weekly Madden predictions. I am going to do one of these for each of the remaining games this year, and who knows, I might continue it next season. I will include the final score, plus relevant stats for key players.

Final score: Denver 27 - Kansas City 17.

In the first half, both teams scored on every possession for a halftime score of Denver 24 - KC 17. In the second half the defenses showed up with Denver scoring the only points of the half on a fourth quarter field goal following Battle's second fumble.

We can only hope that the game on Sunday follows a similar script to this. GO BRONCOS!!

Just an update, in response to MHR suggestions, I have also simmed this game on Madden 5 times. In ended up with 2 Broncos victories, 3 Chiefs victories. The Chiefs scored an average of 25.4 points, the Broncos an average of 23.6. Tebow averaged 194 yds passing per game with 1.2 touchdowns and 0.4 int.
