NFL,com has just posted the nominees for their Weekly Awards and the Denver Broncos are represented in both categories. Tim Tebow was nominated for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week and Von Miller is a nominee for the PEPSI NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 11.
Trailing 13-10 to the New York Jets, the Broncos took possession at their own 5-yard line with 5:54 remaining in the game. Tebow accounted for 92 of the Broncos' 95 yards on a drive he capped with a 20-yard run for the winning score, keeping Denver very much alive in a hotly contested AFC West.
The other nominees this week for the Never Say Never Moment of the Week are Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions, who had 5 TD passes against Carolina and Vince Young of the Philadelphia Eagles, who brought the Eagles a win with an 18-play, 80-yard drive that culminated in an 8-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Riley Cooper to beat the New York Giants. All three quarterbacks generated comebacks.
Miller recorded 10 tackles, including nine solo stops, three tackles for a loss and two sacks in the Broncos' 17-13 victory over the New York Jets. He also added a forced fumble, four quarterback hits and one pass defensed.
He is up against fellow nominees Charles Clay of the Miami Dolphins, Thomas Keiser of the Carolina Panthers, Jake Locker of the Tennessee Titans and Torrey Smithof the Baltimore Ravens.
Go Broncos!
