Broncos Von Miller Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

The National Football League informed the Broncos on today that Rookie Linebacker Von Miller will be the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.


Von had a career-high 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks and three TFL's, added 4 QB hits, a Forced Fumble and a Pass Break Up in the Broncos 17-13 victory over the visiting New York Jets lasr Thursday Night.


Miiler is the first rookie since Brian Cushing (2009, Week 8) to be honored with this award. Champ Bailey was the last Bronco to win the AFC Defensive player of the Week in Week 4 of the 2009 season.
