Orton becomes an AFC West Rival; Prediction for Sunday @ SD

The Kansas City Chiefs have claimed Orton off waivers according to many reports. Todd Haley’s offense is very similar to what Denver ran with Orton and will have quite a few secrets to share with Mr. Haley. Kyle Orton will line up against the violent pass-rush of Von and Doom. Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil will have the privilege of pounding Kyle Orton’s face on the first day of 2012. Von Miller has no issues about punishing Orton: "I don't have any love for the other 31 teams. It's here and now. He's on the other team now." As a broncos fan, I cannot wait for this game and the fans will be going wild. It should be a great game with possible playoff spot on the line. It will rip Kyle’s gut out if the Chiefs get smacked around in Denver.

I am from Northern California and will be making the journey to San Diego to hopefully watch the Broncos extend their winning streak to 4 games. I was shocked to hear today that the broncos are 7 point underdogs. I guess that the guys in Vegas still aren’t buying into the Broncos but I am all in on this team. Does the 7 points surprise you at all? Are you ALL IN?

Finally just a few quick points-

The last Broncos loss came at home to the San Diego Chargers. In that game Kyle Orton was benched and Tebow was thrown into the fire in the second half and almost made a comeback.

Tim Tebow has a 5-3 record in the NFL with two of those losses coming from the Chargers.

The Broncos have the 4th ranked run offense in the NFL while the Chargers are ranked 22nd in run defense giving up an average of 124.3 yards a game. We could see Tim throw another 10 passes or so this week.

The Broncos have allowed an average of 15.5 points in their last 4 wins and the pass rush for the Broncos is turning into something special.

My prediction: Denver over San Diego 21-20

I'm not surprised by the spread.

I think that people are betting on the chargers for a couple of reasons.

1. History
2. Even though they’ve been losing they score points, and we don’t win by scoring a bunch of points.

I think to win this game we have to hold them to low 20’s which isn’t going to be easy; BUT, I think we will with our defense improving/confident, and I like your 21-20 prediction.

GO BRONCOS, POUND RIVERS!!! TAKE IT!!!

Agreed.

Defense needs to have another big game but I feel like this whole team can be desicribed in one word right now – HUNGRY.

Von is an absolute animal and I’m think Champ will have a picsix!

Don't forget

Half of the chargers O Line is hurt ! Many of their weapons are either hurt or banged up as well. They’re definitely suffering from the injury bug, we all know how that can effect a team. Our D against their makeshit O Line will make things very difficult for the interception king, and our run game matches up against their D nicely as well. 27 – 20 Broncos !

The way the Doltbags are beat up on their OLine I would be surprised if our defense gives them 19 points...

The problem may lie with Tebow and our offense scoring more than 19 points…

I saw RT Brian Albert get beat several times by the Pats rush and they aren't as good as our pass rush...

The Chiefs just aren’t plying good football this year and you really can’t put all the blame on RB Charles, TE Moeaki and S Eric Berry for the loses. I believe Todd Haley is having trouble in the locker room and it hasn’t risen to the surface yet. I wouldn’t want him as our head coach…

Not to get picky, but

Tebow only has 1 loss to the Chargers and that came last year. You can’t pin this years on him as he didn’t play the first half of the game that had us so far behind. Of his 3 losses, they came against the Raiders and Chargers last year, and Detroit this year.

This game is by far the biggest yet for Tebow

we have not done well against SD. This is the place were a Bronco team who is doing well
and a SD team struggle switch Trains…THIS time we Must put a wooden stake in their season and have a THREE game SWEEP on the road within our division. I will be at the game…
