Without applying context to the numbers, the insertion of Tebow has actually hurt the Broncos —— his EPA this season (-13.4) is 13 points lower than that of Orton (-0.3). This includes his contributions on the ground; Tebow’s inadequacies in the passing game have been so pronounced that his overall statistics are still worse than Orton’s, despite also being the team’s second-leading rusher.

The Old Man Eddie Royal - Mile High Report
It is easy to see that out of 8 players who are expected to catch balls, 5 of them are in Denver for the first time this year! That is a big deal in my opinion. 2 are in their second year here, as well as it being their second year in the league. Another telling fact in my book.

Miller gets fined for the play that earns him player of the week... Sing it Alanis
I think he has dodged some penalties there though…. let’s hope phillis can’t dodge him.
He attacked everything in life with a mix of extraordinary genius and naive incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which.

I have a feeling the refs will be instructed to be ticky tack with Von this week....
I just hope it doesn’t provide the Chargers with the spark they need to score some points.
I feel the same way guys. It will be a small miracle if Von makes it through another game without a late hit on the QB call. I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten one in the last two games.
I expect a ticky tack one soon.
Tim Tebow's career record is 5-3. He is the worst 1st round pick EVER! He is an embarrassment to the NFL! Did I say that with enough conviction to get a job with ESPN?
and I'd still live with it (perhaps even being happy about it)
No doubt Philip Rivers will be thinking about Von Miller during the game.

I'm not sure the same committee is responsible for both.
I imagine his body of work throughout the game is what earned him the accolade. The hit itself is what earned the fine.
He’ll live. He’s not my brother or anything so I can’t bring myself to shed any tears over it. As long as we find a way to win this week.
Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow. Furthermore, Tim Tebow. Also, Tim Tebow. In conclusion, Tim Tebow. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go Tim Tebow my Tim Tebow. Everybody have a Tim Tebow Tebow, Tebow!

that boston.com article
misses some key context.
First, much in the same way that a quarterback and receiver split credit for successful pass plays, a quarterback and running back should split credit for successful zone-read (option) running plays. In both cases, the quarterback is making the read and decision after the snap, and the defense is reacting to what the quarterback might do, so some of the running backs’ success (on option plays) is attributable to the quarterback.
WPA and EPA don’t take that into account.
Second, part of the reason Tebow is more successful at the more desperate times of the game is because the play calling opens up, and we’re more often in the spread formation. It’s not that Tebow just flips a switch and becomes better at the same plays that he was worse at earlier in the game.
Which is what the Broncos did that led to the only other points of the game for the offense early in the game.
The first two drives were like that I believe.
Exactly.....very frustrating.
W-L record doesn't matter to me.... I just want to see a team on the rise at the end of the year!
McCoy can't pass on first down....his play-calls are hurting this team!
Lewold's article on Bunkley
Was a good read and very refreshing. Good to see players other than Tebow getting some recognition.
