The Definition of Irony

A mere month ago I posted an article following the dreadful loss to the Detroit Lions. It was meant to cheer up the Bronco faithful with a prediction for the Broncos to finish the remainder of the season undefeated and cruise into the playoffs.

Now, I admit even I doubted my psychic abilities, however given that the Broncos sit at 4-0, it is clearly obvious that I am clairvoyant and not to be doubted. Thus today I will flex my psychic muscles and provide you with the following bold prediction:

Kyle Orton will lead the Broncos to the playoffs...this year.

Try and keep up:

Next week the Raiders will win a close one in Miami while the Broncos will defeat the Vikings.

After that the Raiders fall to the Packers and the Broncos beat the Bears. (Both teams at 8-5)

The following week the Raiders pull off the upset and beat the Detroit Lions and the Broncos return the favor and beat the Patriots. (Both teams at 9-5)

Going into the last two games of the season the Bronco and Raiders are locked up in a tie for the top spot in the AFC west. The Broncos will head to Buffalo and defeat the Bills and the Raiders take on the KC Chiefs:

At this point the story gets interesting. The Raiders will jump to a quick lead and will appear to have the game locked up....when low and behold Kyle Orton will do two things he's never done. 1. lead a 4th quarter come from behind victory and 2. Lead the Broncos into the playoffs (albeit in a round about way)

And thus this is the story of how Kyle Orton will lead the Broncos to the playoffs.
