Our defense hasn't been great since 05. When we had Lynch, Wilson, Ferguson, and Gold. Yeah we still have Dj and Champ. But it hasn't been the same
Now I don't know witch is worst secondary, d-line, or mlb.
Our secondary has not been there. There old and sometimes have no idea what to do. Yes Champ is still playing at a high level. Dawkins can't cover anymore, Goodman is awful. Moore and Carter are rookies it would be nice if they had great seasons but with the lockout ugh. I'd kinda like to see what Carter can do at SS. It's what he played at OU. I can't wait till Moore becomes the ball hog that he was in UCLA. But what do you think is our weakest link?
Defensive line has always been a problem for Denver for the past 4 years now. Free agency is okay to fill it temporaly. But who really is getting it done in the front? I really want to see Warren play, he's huge but he's injured. This position needs to be fixed. Now D ends were not that bad at the position. We lack good depth though. Everybody is against Robert Ayers but i think he is a good de and will only get better. Remember the great talent evaluater Mcdaniels put him at 3-4 olb when he was obviously a 4-3 de end (a real one 3-4 olb we could have drafted that year was mathews or orakpo just our luck). He's gotten some sacks and is solid against the run he'll only get better. Elvis is mainly a rush the passer is average against the run.
Mlb I love watchin playmaker mlb play. The position i beleive is one of the most important on the D. Al Wilson was a hard hitting monster, he was the heart and soul of the d. Ever since he left, the position has been filled with no bodys. Joe Mays a great hitter but bad against the pass and hes not that consistent. Now Nate Irving the 3rd round pick hasn't got to play and I'd like to see him play to see if we struck gold or not. But if not I'd want a great mlb like look at the young ones in the draft, Mate T'eo, Luke Kuechly, and Vontaze Burflict.
I will be writing again about our offense later hope you enjoy my article and go BRONCOS.
