Mile High Report Poll of the Week: Mid-Season Awards - Most Valuable Player
The final, and possibly most important, awards, of the group, Most Valuable Player. Like I said last time, I can't list the whole roster so I will just list the names of some players who have done particularly well this season, as well as some statistics to make sure it's not just on name value. Please try and remain unbiased in your votes, like I said for all the others.
Here's the links to all the polls so if you haven't voted, go back and make your voice heard.
- Best Squad
- Worst Squad
- Least Valuable Player
- Most Valuable Player

I voted Von but McGahee was a great pickup.
As the ancient Tibetan Philosophy states "Don't start none, won't be none!"
I have to give Robert Ayers some love right now.
He’s playing good right now. He’s not only setting the edge but getting after the QB. At the same time, I feel bad for him because he wasted two seasons being an OLB. If he was playing DE the whole time, he would be a stud by now. I’m happy to see him improve this year. Also I like the broncos pass rush with Ayers, Dumervil, and Miller. Now if the secondary can hold up for a few more seconds they’ll get more sacks. Those three the broncos can build a defense around.
Also, my MVP right now is Decker.

Ayers may be our Most Surprising
Or biggest improvement since he’s really stepped up right now, and really is playing better DE than Doom is. Hope Doom improves though, we need him.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
I voted for B.Lloyd :P
Not really, I voted Miller and I hate you guys for drafting him. He’s going to be a beast!

With Coach Zorro on our side, we will slice opponents to ribbons. Tim Tebow gives me hope and I already have faith and charity in my heart! I see a propitious future rife with Lombardis for our Broncos!

Champ?
How is 0 INTs and a 99.1 passer rating against playing well? Am I missing something?
by KansasBronco on Nov 6, 2011 7:41 AM MDT via mobile reply actions
Matthew Stafford is 7th ranked passer in NFL at 99.1. So essentially, throwing against Champ, statistically, is like having Stafford like results each play.

When you compare him to our other CB's
It’s a huge jump.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
That’s like saying Orton is our MVP because if you compare him to our “other QB” (Tebow) it’s a huge jump

Yea that's just the way it works
And that’s why Champ isn’t winning the poll.

Wish Bunkley had been on this list
He has consistently played very well in a position with no depth, leading by example with his work ethic and physicality. From what I’ve seen so far he is our most reliable player on defense. Seems like he is always encouraging teammates on the sidelines too.
Very true. He has more hidden stats then anything. He should be resigned in the offseason.
Bunkley needs a partner in crime though.

You mean,
he should be re-signed, I don’t want Bunkley’s resignation anytime soon :)

Bunkley rocks your socks
if you are bold enough to run up his gap!

agreed
He has been our unsung hero…… quietly making this D much better than what it was last year.
"If you went to the Fair with this guy and you played that game where you have to throw the ball through the hole..... HE may never get it through the hole, but he's still gonna be walking away with all the stuffed animals" Prime on Tebow!!!
Colquitt, sad but true that our punter has been our most valuable
weapon this season. Our O has sucked so badly that he has been relied upon to improve field position for the team all year and has delivered. Great combination of hang time and distance. I’m sure he has saved our D some yardage and perhaps a score or two. #2 on the list gotta go with Von… and once he learns how to set the edge and contain that inside run he will be the talk of the NFL…

I voted for Von but there is no denying the huge impact Colquitt has had on field position. Looks like a Pro Bowler
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.
