Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow to Grace Debut Cover for NFL Magazine
After initially naming Cam Newton the cover athlete for the premiere issue of NFL Magazine, The National Football League will launch its official monthly publication, NFL Magazine, on December 13, 2011, with Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow on the cover.
The collectors' edition, in print just in time for holiday gift subscriptions, will be the first of 12 monthly issues published by the NFL and will be available by subscription and on newsstands nationwide.
Annual subscriptions to NFL Magazine are now available at NFL.com/Magazine.
NFL Magazine will feature on-and-off the field coverage, providing fans insight into players and teams that can only be delivered by the official magazine of the NFL. Additionally, in each issue, NFL experts and top sports journalists will offer an inside-the-huddle perspective and exclusive insights, analysis, and features from NFL Network and NFL.com.
NFL great Boomer Esiason and longtime NFL reporter Andrea Kremer have joined the magazine as regular contributors.
The premiere collectors' edition issue will feature NFL Network talent, including Warren Sapp and Jim Mora, plus the following editorial highlights:
- Stories covering the rookie successes of Broncos QB Tim Tebow, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh and Carolina QB Cam Newton
- A feature on Peyton Manning's impact on his team and teammates
- A celebration of the 40th anniversary of the NFL's longest game
- Behind-the-scenes at "NFL GameDay Morning," a look at the popular NFL Network pregame show
- Hot Pix: Spectacular shots of some of the most amazing catches from the 2011 season
- The Fan Zone, including food, style, fitness, video games, and more

I don't care how many are printed or how collectable this becomes...
This will become a family heirloom that I will pass down through my bloodline. 1st edition + Tebow = Charlie Sheen WINNING.

When Elway retired, SI did a special issue as tribute to his career
I still have it wrapped in plastic lol!
I have that one too! And a magazine with TD on the front...
Sadly I spent too much time reading them over and over until they’re pretty much destroyed now… Maybe I should get a few copies of this one lol.

Most definitely, pretty cool given that it's the first edition
Get a few that you can put away and not mess with.
Me too!
I also have the one from the year before with TD on the cover.

when will this be out and where can i get it?
Q. Why doesn't St. Paul have a professional football team?
A. Because then Minneapolis would want one!

I completely agree with the MSM that Denver reached for a player in the 2010 draft. I disagree that that player is Tim Tebow.

Man I bet Cam is seething
First Tim beats Cam out at Florida, forcing him to steal a laptop and now he takes Cam’s cover shot?…..it’s just not fair.
" I'm blessed to be part of a team with very unselfish players who don't care about statistics, they just care about winning" - Tebow owning Michael Irvin when Irvin asked him "what do you say to your receivers after you throw a ball in the dirt and miss them".
rofl
Gaff and Lloyd both worked with TT in the off season. It would be nice if we still had one of them.
Not sure, Young just had himself a 4 int game

this is a freaking jinx
anybody else get the feeling like tebow’s media adulation is just setting him up for a major fall?
Michael Ray Richardson on the Nuggets:
Reporter: What do you think is happening to the team?
Richardson: The ship be sinking.
Reporter: How far can it sink?
Richardson: Sky's the limit.
Nope

ditto
he’s not conventional, which means even Madden couldn’t jinx him! lol
That would be both conventional, and traditional…. Tebow is neither.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's great.
I am just so cynical about press nowadays that I couldn’t ignore it.
Hopefully the NFL magazine will have chapters on the Stereotyping, pigeon holing
discrimination and racism that is currently ramped in the NFL.

Tim Tebow: NFL's Hottest Player?
Unless the NFL is trying to direct this to women, I dont think that question is appropriate.
..We're 6-10 till we're not!
They say the cool is all over me..
does that mean Hottest Chearleader isn't appropriate?

I love it
Love it even more now since Cam was originally picked, then booted. Holy shades of University of Florida…:)
Yep, one issue to read, one to box and one to frame
Tim Tebow is Denver's 2012 starting QB. I'm not even a little sorry that offends some of you.
I stopped watching the NFL when Jerry Jones fired Landry. Tebow has brought me back and for that I am grateful.
Anyone else find it odd that the NFLN is doing a 30 minute Playbook on us?
That’s never been done before.
My inner conspiracy theorist says that they’re trying to help teams defense us……. :O
W-L record doesn't matter to me.... I just want to see a team on the rise at the end of the year!
Honestly
People know what they need to do to defend this offense. There’s enough tape of it out there now. I’m sure those who coach in the league are better at figuring that stuff out than those who are in broadcasting. If Brian Billick could get a good coaching gig, he’d already have one… my apologies.. I digress…
Anyhow, if a Rex Ryan coached Jets D can’t stop it, then I don’t think NFLN is gonna make a difference.
The only one stopping us is ourselves. Which can, and does, happen to teams all the time. Let’s hope that the current culture of the team won’t allow that.
GO BRONCOS
Bleeding Orange and Blue for 44 years
I think Brian Billick could coach against it
That’s not why he hasn’t found a coaching gig – he hasn’t found one cause he hasn’t looked. He is comfortable making his high 6 figure salary (or more) in a cushy job where he can be wrong day in and day out and still make the money without the possibility of losing his job, as long as the ratings are there. And this is football, the rating are ALWAYS there!
That’s not the point though. Where I am going with this, is it’s one thing to coach how to play defense against this, and it’s another thing for all 11 players on your defense to execute the plan. You’re asking players in 3 days time to do something they are not used to doing against any other team in the league. There’s not enough obedience and punctuality on a defense to totally stop an unconventional offense like this play in and play out. That is where their execution falters. Timmy just does one hell of a job capitalizing on that when it counts!
Q. Why doesn't St. Paul have a professional football team?
A. Because then Minneapolis would want one!
Billick is doing color Sunday
so perhaps he’ll throw some witchcraft against us to see if anything sticks

Tebow on the cover is not so surprising...
Tim Tebow is a great choice for the NFL. The man is the very picture of virtue and clean living. His work ethics, off field charity work and the positive leadership he provides are some of the reasons for the choice. Tim Tebow ‘s a clean and untarnished symbol for the NFL. Who could be better? You don’t have to be a fan to understand this choice.
We conquered this territory with our bodies and souls, then we watered it with our tears.
Go Denver!

It's nice to know...
That the rest of America has been duly reminded that the Broncos still exist.
If you do not worship Tim Tebow as a living god, you are obviously a terrible person. You are also with the terrorists and hate America. And our troops. And babies. And ice cream. And puppies.

Based on all the stats, it's Cam Newton that deserves the cover.
All the stats, except wins that is. Way to go Broncos!
Cam Newton has done a lot (except win) as a starting rookie QB on a very bad Carolina team so I give him a lot of credit for what he’s accomplished in a short amount of time.
I think it should be a team photo on the cover so congrats goes out to Fox, McCoy, Allen, Elway, Von and the rest of the players……Tim Tebow could not have done it without you.
Victory is sweet, even deep in the cheap seats.
Warren Sapp is a smart man
on NFL Network the other day, the cutie, Kara, was trying to bait him into saying Cam Newton was having a better year, but Warren said all that really matters is winning. He was so erudite as a Buccaneer that his stint in the Black Hole couldn’t make him stupid!
