Madden Predictions, New England Week

Hello, and welcome to yet another edition of Weekly Madden Predictions! I gotta tell you, this last week was WAAYYY too close for comfort. I am seriously thinking of sending the Broncos organization the bill for my anxiety medication! Once again however, Madden came through with an accurate end result prediction (at least for the play through game). Before we move on to this week's prediction, let's take a look at what has happened to date.

Madden Prediction Play Through Overall Record: 5-0

And now for this week's predictions. For those of you who have not read this series before, I play through each weeks game once in control of the Broncos. In addition to this, I also sim the game. I do a total of 5 sims each week to obtain a decent sample size. Here are the results of the play through.

Final score: Denver 24, New England 21

Ok, now stop me if you have heard this before. For a little over a half, the Broncos' offense farts around, not doing much of anything. Meanwhile, the New England offense, led by Tom Brady is putting points on the board. Then, inexplicably, Denver's receivers start to make catches and the run game is catching the defense off balance. Suddenly, a 21-7 deficit is 21-14.

Uh-oh, the opposing offense makes the one boneheaded mistake they have made all game long and the Broncos have the ball back. It would tend to follow, naturally, that the Broncos, led by the suddenly invincible and precise Tim Tebow, would drive right down the field and into the end zone. Deficit gone. 21-21.

Then what happens, you ask? Haven't you been paying attention? The defense sends NE three-and-out and Denver gets the ball back with a minute to play. Of course they drive the ball into field goal range and score three with a few seconds remaining and NE's Hail Mary falls incomplete. Game over.

So, does any of that sound familiar? It does? Well, let's just say that Madden is now imitating real life it seems.

Once again, Madden is predicting a Denver victory. Going by both the play through and average sim results, it should be a close one score game. And we all know how Tebow and CO. handle close games! Here's to another huge Broncos' victory and the continuing perfect streak of Madden Predictions! GO BRONCOS!!!
