Tebow Mic'd Up - The Remaining Story
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d825100af/Sound-FX-Tim-Tebow-s-comeback
I'm not sure why, but this was left out of the original one posted yesterday. This link shows Tim and our Broncos from where the other one left off - throughout overtime. It's amazing to me how calm Tim stays, but he still has a fire about him too. The first did show some cool stuff, like Tebow talking to Demaryius Thomas, and Lance Briggs / Brian Urlacher, but this one shows more, in my honest opinion. Wow fellas, we have a gem on our hands here. Hats off to those who have always believed, and hats off to the new believers. John Elway.... John Fox.... Dennis Allen.... Von Miller.... a healthy Doom..... and TIm Tebow!.... we are set for years people! Enjoy!

Well said Pale!
You know I don’t think it matters either, whether or not you liked the guy from the beginning or have just lately come on board. I’ve always liked the guy, but just as I had right to my opinion, so did those that doubted. The most important thing is that we are all on the same page moving in the right direction!
I hope we beat the Patriots this weekend, I really can’t stand them since McHoodie Jr! Well maybe that’s a lie…I rooted against them in the ’07 super bowl:)
Man, I tell you what
I was a huge McD apologist up until they fired him, but looking back, he really had a vision for this team. Tebow, Decker, Ayers, DT, even Moreno when healthy would play great to Tim’s strengths (screen game & blocking). I have to give McD some props right now, cause he gave us Saint Timothy.
"If you went to the Fair with this guy and you played that game where you have to throw the ball through the hole..... HE may never get it through the hole, but he's still gonna be walking away with all the stuffed animals" Prime on Tebow!!!

I'm with you Pale in that respect
If we had to suffer through a couple of seasons with McD just for the chance to have Tebow, it was worth it! I give McD major props for trading up to get Tebow—-and thus far he has been the best QB from that draft.
We also have to thank him for our O-line in Walton and Beadles as well. We have a ton of pieces because of him and I actually think are better off because of subraction (Cutler, Marshall, even Hillis is looking like a head-case now)
The only problem with McD as I see it is what we are seeing now as the polar opposite with Fox. Players after a while stopped respecting McD and his antics and the players have totally bought in to John Fox.
It is an interesting blip in history and one that has steered us on the course we are on now. Hindsight is proving a lot of McD’s moves to be correct. He had a lot of other stinkers no doubt, but cheers to him for most of the players he has brought us!
The problem is there is no way McD could have ever realized the vision
I somehow doubt that what we are doing now was McD’s original blueprint. I also think McD’s personality and propensity to play loosey goosey with the truth degraded team chemistry. He also had absolutely no hope of putting together the defense that we have today.
I will say that he found some young talent with high picks in the draft… that is the end of the credit I give McD. Maybe one day I will be proved wrong, but until then, that is my story and I am sticking to it.
I dont know Pale
McD was really inflexible. Do you really think he would have brought back the option like Foxy did? I bet McD woulda pulled another Alphonso Smith on Tebow and gave up on him and drafted him for a 7th or something of the like.

No, no, no man..... don't get me wrong
I’m not saying McD would have EVER panned as a coach / people person. He alienated people and players about as often as he changed hoodies. What I’m simply saying is, he did have a vision to build talent around Tim Tebow. DT – was a WR in an option attack out of GT…… Decker – GREAT blocker along with DT. McD was wanting to run the ball more, but he just didn’t have the skill to get it to fully execute. I’m just talking about his vision, personnel-wise for the team. I mean, the only man in football who had the balls to draft Timmy Tebow in the 1st, should get BIG BIG credit in my book.

We'll agree to disagree my friend
Im still warming up to DT, but I would have felt better if McD would have taken TT with the 22nd and just waited for bey bey in the 2nd round and kept the picks. He had a multitude of other sins, such as the Jarvis Green incident, getting rid of Mike Leach for Paxton, Lawerence Maroney, Wink, etc. IMO McD was never a good personnel man, as well as a coach

And as a side note, McD doesnt have the slightest clue on how to have a running game going or how to field a defense. The 2 biggest things helping Tebow out right now. Lets not forget the retarded draft moves he made in 09, (only 1 starter from that class) the chasing off of good assistants like Nolan and Bobby Turner, and the fact that this “offensive genius” is getting exposed right now in STL, as they sport the NFL’s worst offense

Look at Stephen Jackson, went from all around do it everything back to just another guy with McD
That ’09 draft was bad. I know people have been less critical of Ayers this year, but I would still see his play as disappointing. Imagine if we had a guy at DE opposite Doom that could force more pressure AND then add Von who could come from anywhere! That would be unstoppable!
I thought more about Alphonso Smith this week when Deion Sanders mentioned he saw someone who could be great like him when he came out in the draft. I really wonder if McD ruined the guy’s confidence. I bet you a coach like John Fox could get this guy to play to his potential!
Some good moves, some bad moves, and bad coaching sums up McD. I’m really glad we have a coach that is respected by his players and treats them like people and not another cog in the machine!
Mike
The guy who had the gumption to draft Tebow in the first, will cover up a multitude of other football sins. TO me, Ayers is a CRITICAL part of our D. He is hands down the best run stuffer (followed by Bunk), and I believe he’s doing his role to perfection. His pass rush will improve the longer he’s in this new scheme. Alphonso is, and always will be JUST a ballhawk. HE plays the ball well, but does everything else hideously.

Just one more thing on Ayers my friend
He was always projected as a 4-3 DE, not a 3-4 OLB. For whatever reason, McD was trying to fit this square peg into a round hole. He’s now thriving under Foxy’s 4-3, as we all thought he would. But McD drafted the wrong guy at the time

Jeremiah Johnson cracked me up in over-time.
Boy, was he havin the time of his life yelling and delirious. Love my Broncs!!
"yyeeaaahhhhhh!!! I told you Tebow, I told you!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a great moment! Did anyone else noticed how everyone seemed to be encouraging everyone? It didn’t all come from just Tebow—-in fact one of my favorites was Decker hugging Tebow and telling him that they were about to win the game. Encouragement is definitely contagious!!!
exactly man
my buddy keeps saying, “it’s all Tebow man…. even the fact that Barber ran out of bounds and fumbled…. every bit of it, Tebow.” I’m not buying it. There’s no doubt that Tim has helped our team believe again, but we have a lot of positive, team oriented, leader type guys in that locker room. It once again goes back to Joshie McD…. all he drafted was team guys (other than Cox).

Tebow is the catylist for sure but it went from that to the entire team stepping up and leading
I also love that the guys McD brought in were team first guys. People always say Cutler, and Marshall were mistakes, and I even thought Hillis was a mistake BUT….
Cutler is nowhere near the leader Tim is and even though he has better accuracy at this point, Tim also has better decision making skills. I’ll take Tim’s stat lines all day as long as our team is playing the way they are and we aren’t turning the ball over.
Marshall still puts up big numbers but struggles with BPD (not blaming him for that and I hope he does better with it as he moves forward), but he was a ticking timebomb waiting to go off.
Hillis? What in the world happened to that guy this year? For whatever reason his head isn’t in it as well.
i liked the one from kuper.
actually, i just kuper. he’s got a great lineman look.

“we can’t ust wait for the opportunities, we gotta do it now.”
This supports my theory that the first 3/4 of the game they play conservative and that he is handcuffed. Unleash the beast!!

I think we can see this just from his statlines
The guy threw 16 passes in the first three quarters and then in a quarter and OT drive, he throws 25? But as many (including myself) have bashed McCoy, he did a hell of a job mixing up playcalls last week. The Bears have an awesome D and they held us in check for a long time.
They also completed those passes and continued drives
It is hard to throw a lot of passes when they are dropped and drives stall… It is hard for McCoy to keep dialing up pass plays when they don’t go anywhere. Finally, my impression (without going back to the film and verifying) is that Tim did a lot more scrambling and running earlier in the game, and that got less effective as the game went. In the last few minutes, he pulled up and threw, so the number of pass plays being called may have been closer than we think…
I think this offense is intentionally conservative and with so much youth, that is SMART. I give Fox and McCoy credit for that. We run better than we throw as a team and McGahee is our most consistent player on O. No reason not to dial up his number a lot. Last week, McGahee looked hurt and the Bears really shut him down early….
Right now, I am OK with this model.
I agree that the Coaching Staff is playing it smart!
By the way, if we were to play a game on Christmas Day, this is the quote that I think a “mic’d up” Tim Tebow would make.
“I want to thank God for allowing His Son to be born here! I know that we don’t know the exact date, but that doesn’t stop us from celebrating.” (chuckle and BIG smile!)

I can't believe how calm cool and collected he is under pressure...I'd be pissin' on one leg and kicking it off with the other...
"What's better than 5 - 0?!?...[The whole locker room] 6 - 0"!!!
Head Coach John Fox in the locker room madness following a 13-10 victory over the Bears...
In his book he talks about how he has to consciously try to amp down before games.
Personally I want to see him all excited, being Tebow-ish and jumping up and down after 1st downs—- like last year and when he was at FL. To me that’s part of the fun, not acting ho-hum like Brady or Rodgers. Get those fists pumpn’ Timmy!

I don't know, man.
I don’t agree with Boilder and PaleHorse.
I don’t think Tim acts ho-hum at all – I think he has a unique ability to internalize his emotions and use them as ammunition. He takes all of that (I can’t think of a word that suffices, so I’ll just say AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!) that happens around him, and rather than jumping around, headbutting his teammates, and being rambunctious, he channels it.
Take, for example, a child. Most children are highly energetic, and often get into trouble because their boundless curiosity and excitement. If, however, you’re able to channel this into something productive, the child can become excellent at whatever it is he/she does. I think that’s what Tebow excels at – taking in all of this energy, excitement, and adrenaline, and exuding it in the form of confidence and composure.
I don't know how many of you have been in a high school or college huddle...
…but I’ll tell you what; the poise he has, his mentality, his calmness… it’s absolutely unreal. Having played on both levels, coached on others, I have yet to meet anyone with this much composure.
As fans, how many of us were on the edge of our seat, yelling at our TVs, ordering shot after shot, pulling our hair out, and trying not to have a heart attack? Now imagine being in the midst of this game, with 76,xxx screaming fans, mile high thunder… everyone was into it. Tebow? It seemed like none of that registered at all.
I think it was around the same time that Jeremiah Johnson was going cuckoo… people all around the sidelines were elated! They were jumping around, being excited. Tebow just calmly stood up and went to work. In the OT drive, he made his throws and started walking; you could see the wheels turning in his head – no celebration, not even a fist pump. Just deliberate calm.
He must have ice running through his veins. The other thing I noticed was the confidence. He’s not the same guy you see at press conferences. He’s not that shy, sincere-but-cliche, I-answer-questions-without-answering-them guy. He is a leader out there; God amongst men.
When (I think McCoy?) asks, “Why do we have to do this every time?” Tim just smiles and says “Don’t worry. We’ll figure it out.” That look that he had, it froze me for a second. It’s not very often you see a player inspiring a coach.
He had the same look when he was comforting DT after the drop, saying not to worry because he will catch the game-winner. He almost didn’t even accept DT’s apology, as though it was unnecessary because he knew what was coming. That fierceness, that determination, that confidence and panache…
I have met and played with some amazing people on both sides of the ball, but this guy is a head and shoulders above in terms of mental and physical fortitude.
I agree, Palehorse – he is a special specimen. I got to watch the Mic’d up full video yesterday, and it’s crazy – the only time he celebrated, was when the game was over. This is the guy I want to lead the Broncos for a very, very long time.

Very well said H!
What impressed you is what I got from it as well. His encouraging DT and McCoy! That is the most settling proof of leadership I can ever recall seeing in any player, especially one his age. Most QB’s are needing encouragement from the coach, not giving it.

Thanks metalman!
It’s really a paradigm shift in so many ways. His approach to leadership, morale, motivation, etc. is entirely different than anything we’ve seen. People are even saying that his approach is revolutionizing leadership outside of football; that his attitude is affirmation that “nice managers” can be successful in business, too.
Having that kind of impact as a humble 24-year-old is just unheard of.
I love this comment PaleHorse78!
