When asked if he could pick between Scam Newton and Tim Tebow who would he pick he said Cam because he is a better all around QB. Actually I think he said he is a more "complete" QB. Hop down
He mentioned the yards he has thrown for this year and actually paused when he thought about all the interceptions, then his little buddy Mike the Golum pointed out that since he threw more, of course he would have more interceptions. So I thought ok, but what is the %? Turns out that Tebow throws a pick once every 99 passes while the more complete QB throws one every 28. And as of right now I would say Tebows wins vs Cams is slightly in Tims favor as well.
And not to slight out recievers but I think right now Carolina has the edge as far as catching skills in thier recievers and TE's. We have had more than a few dropped and several times at very inopportune moments. Would I trade any of our recievers for any of theres? No way in heck! Just saying.
And I didnt want to bring up the "I" word (intangibles) but since Steve Smith did, I will. Tebows intanglibles vs Cams. No contest. Tim is the CLEAR WINNER.
Cam says before the season. "I see myself not only as a football player, but an entertainer and icon."
Tim says stuff like "I am so proud of the way this team comes together and supports each other".
Cam makes a touchdown and we get the hands across the chest and an excessive celebration penalty.
Tim does a quick hulk and is back in the game.
Cam is all about Cam
Tebow is all about the team.
Cam is an accident waiting to happen. His personality is going to overshadow his talent and probably sooner than later. Tim is going to continue to work hard and practice. He is going to BE in a lot of headlines but not going to make ANY lineUPS.
