I got killed in my boldness of the first Oakland game - the first game of the season. Not really my boldness that killed me, I guess; it was more of my loudness and overtness. Whatevs, though. Tomatoes, tomaToes. I learned from it. Truly, I did. But.. do not confuse what I just said with me saying I'll not be bold again. Nah. I'd take the chance of being wrong over the comfort of being comfortable any day of the week. Three times on Sunday?
I believe in accountability, and I believe my prediction of us winning that Oakland game pretty nearly destroyed my credibility. If a guy is wrong a lot, or even once if it's in a big way... well, people stop listening. There's no way to get a wrong righted without getting back on the saddle. And I feel like I've waited for the right time.
Predicting a win over the Vikings wouldn't exactly be ground-shaking and earth-altering, ya know? So here I go again...
With a heavy heart and with all things considered, I believe we matchup well against the Patriots. And I believe we'll beat them. So I predict a win, gents. And I just wanted to put that on record. With that prediction, I fully understand that those regulars on this site may begin to skip by my game previews and my thoughts if I'm wrong for the 2nd time. And again, with all considered, I still openly predict a win.
So here's to Batman and Robin... A Mile High Salute for what you've done. For those you've killed in the pocket, and for he who you are about to. Cheers!
Whether we win or lose, this is still our MF House. And you'll still feel us in the morning. Count on it.
