I think the gloom is tad bit overstated all across the media. So they lose one game to the #1 seed in the AFC and that qualifies as being exposed? A young team loses 4 fumbles and starts 4 rookies on defense but now they’re terrible? I expect this from the national types but local guys are a little quick to throw the baby out with the bath water. The idea that we should scrap the offense is just stupid. Lest we forget, it was the offense that was rolling until it imploded due to self inflicted wounds. That doesn’t mean it can’t be successful. We take care of the ball the game has a different arc. We might still have lost but surely not as badly.
We just need to win this weekend and chances are we clinch. And if not there’s still the final game. From 1-4 to a step away from the playoffs. Not a bad place to be considering where we were. Barring any other Dennis Allen mental vacations and another bout of fumblitis and we’re golden.
Go Broncos!

It's the way of the new media...
Every single thing is the end of civilization or the Second Coming… until the next thing happens. It’s ridiculous. The 24-hour news cycle is a thing of ancient history. There so many media platforms now that 1,000 hours of “news” (i.e. unsubstantiated editorial content) is squeezed into every hour. The only way a person can get his or her name noticed is to be the most outraged, the most supportive, or the most critical person on a given topic.
It’s not only a sports thing. It’s everything.

the Broncos were close to blowing them out, then came the fumbles. Pats D got better as the game wore on, so I give them credit for that.

I don't think we would have blown them out...
…there was never any real indication our defense was going to stop Brady….but we could have won in a shoot-out.

and I still stand that when the Broncos play the Patriots in the playoffs, it will be an entirely different game. This is a team that the Broncos can beat in the postseason granted we have to get there first, but this loss can very well be a blessing in disguise.

he wasn't until he had Rivers behind him
Once that happened Brees kicked it up a notch then got injured (lynch style) and then went to New Orleans for a larger contract.
So Tebow's not a top 3 QB of all time.....
….we should just fire him now. And then fire every new QB every 2 years until we have the next Brady. Not the Brady with 2 years experience, but the Brady with 10 years experience. I get it, don’t you?

Yeah
I like Harris too, but its more of a combination of rookies not synchronizing well with each other and blowing coverage.
If I can't have high expectations that succeed, I''d rather have high expectations and be disappointed than have low expectations and be resigned to losing.

Giving the Patriots 13 points on three (3) turnovers at the end of the half were just minor parts of the whole picture...
The first 2 TOs gave the Pats 10 points, but it also stalled two Broncos drives that could of given them a 30 point half if both drives ended in TDs. Greater yet was the momentum the Broncos had for the first 20 minutes of the game, and now they were forced into catch up mode with the Pats. That is never a good thing and giving them anything is like nailing your own coffin shut. The Broncos defense came out in the 2nd half with the lead now gone and the Pats up 28-16 trying to play outside of themselves, making costly penalties, miss tackling and just all around confusion.
The way the Steelers beat the Pats was they put their foot on the their throats and never let it off, the Broncos failed in that aspect letting Brady have more time to throw to his outlet receiver Hanandez over and over again with some timely running plays. I would of liked to see how this game would have turned out without the TOs and the momentum we had…Its a shame we lost this game. Now, it time to put this behind us and look forward to going to Buffalo where the Broncos have fared well on the road so far…
Go Broncos!!! 10-6 Baby!!! Until we ain’t!

Actually bfree
Nailing your own coffin shut doesn’t work too well. The nails don’t actually ‘lock’ anything, and they poke out, and can hurt still living people before the casket is buried.
In other words, We nailed Our own coffin shut against Miami, at Oakland, KC, SD and Minnesota, and against the Jets and Bears. You know, We were the ones who nailed it shut, which is why We were able to get back out of it, and take the W. Because nailing it from the inside, just doesn’t secure the lid, like when the other team nails it for you. Alright, I’m done being a smart alec, now. ( ;
