Broncos Have Eight in Pro Bowl Consideration

DENVER, CO - DECEMBER 18: The Denver Broncos stand in the tunnel before taking on the New England Patriots at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on December 18, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. The New England Patriots won, 41-23. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)

We told you earlier about Tim Tebow placing third in the AFC's fan votes for the 2012 Pro Bowl, well add seven more Denver Broncos to the list:

That is a potential for a lot of Broncos in Hawaii this year.

Final teams will be announced December 27th at 5 PM MST on NFL Network.

How many players from each position get to go?

It is different per position

for example 3 QBs, 3 RBs, 1 K etc. What position are you wondering about?

I love it!

We conquered this territory with our bodies and souls, then we watered it with our tears.
Go Denver!

bummed that champ is fourth

he and prater are behind less deserving guys.

i’d prefer that tebow NOT make it, so everyone doesn’t have to deal with all that media/fan fallout if he does. and i like to think that he has a lot of better years ahead of him where he’ll be a more consensus choice for the pro bowl.

Our OL's used to dominate in the Pro Bowl voting.....it's a shame that's changed :(

W-L record doesn't matter to me.... I just want to see a team on the rise at the end of the year!

Champ in 4th is a joke.... seriously, what 3 AFC dbs are better? (OK, 2...Revis is

really good.)

I imagine Jonathan Josepth (HOU) and Brandown Flowers (KC) are ahead of Bailey...

both are very good and deserving of a pro bowl… but I agree, Champ is every bit as good as them in coverage and tied with Antoine Winfield as the best corner at defending the run

I get the feeling that Champ has been so good for so long

that he may be taken for granted now. But not by us in Denver!

Here is my list of Pro Bowl definites from this list.

1. Von Miller – In his first year, he’s already established himself as an elite pass rusher and maybe the best 4-3 OLB in the NFL.
2. Britton Colquitt – The players and coaches will get this guy in. He is having a monster year as a punter.
3. Elvis Dumervil – The past eight games, Dumervil has been a monster. He will reach double digit sacks by the end of the season and get a Pro Bowl nod.
4. Matt Prater – He is one game-winning field goal away from making NFL history. The definition of clutch from 50+, Prater is a definite Pro Bowler in my mind.
5. Champ Bailey – The Champ will be making yet another appearance in Hawaii, he’s having yet another great season shutting down receivers.
6. Tim Tebow – Stats generally get players to the Pro Bowl. Popularity and all the impossible game-winning drives this guy has orchestrated will send him to Honolulu.

Dawkins and McGahee were tough to be omitted from my list, but there are too many players at RB in the AFC having great years. Dawkins gets omitted due to missing a few games.
