And so it's come down to the wire, 15 games and still nobody has a clue how to win the West ... the Broncos got stampeded by the Bills, the Chargers were mauled by the Lions and the Chiefs were forced to walk the plank by the dirty, lowdown Raiders .... arrrrrgggggggg!
Both the Chiefs and the Chargers are now out of what's become a two-horse race (or, one horse and one pirate) and the season finale coming up means a lot ... for the Chiefs it's a chance to finish a lost season on a positive note, and perhaps a chance for both Romeo Crennel and Kyle Orton to secure jobs for next season. For the Broncos, a win means playoffs, it's just that simple. A loss, however, means the Denver faithful need the Chargers to beat the Raiders.
Are we pumped? Are we ready for some Mile High football? After a weekend of disappointed in both KC and Denver, maybe the best thing for all of us fans is to move forward in a hurry and hope for better things this coming weekend. After all, who wants to dwell on those losses? Right, me either.
Will Tim Tebow save the Broncos season after all? Will Kyle Orton extract a small measure of revenge on his old team? Do the Chiefs have what it takes to stop the Denver running attack? Do either of these teams really want to win a game? Confused? You won't be, after the next episode of SOAP! Oh, wait, that's not it ... fire away, Bronco fans ... you have question, we pretend we have answers (actually we have ALL the answers, they may not be the RIGHT answers, but we got 'em!) ... good luck to the Broncos and here's to a fun-filled and injury free game!
