For the Denver Broncos, the playoffs start now. Win and we move on. Lose and we're out. Sure we can still make it with a loss, but no one wants to back into the playoffs with 3 straight losses. I fully expect our team to step up sunday. Last week they laid an egg, coaching seemed bad, players performed bad, and lots of mistakes were made. I expect our leaders to come up big in this game.
Tebow will have the offense fired up, Champ who really want's to play in the playoffs will hopefully say somethings to the D. I want a big game from Von and Doom. We need everyone to play tough
Now what do we need to do to beat the chiefs? I think it's easy.
1. Pressure Kyle Orton. We all know how bad he is under pressure. We need to blitz him early and often, but also watch-out for the screen game to McCluster.
2, Force turnovers, and win the turnover battle. We all know the bone-head mistakes Orton makes, so we need to win the turnover game too.
3. STOP. THE. RUN. The last few weeks have been bad, we have been giving up alot of yards on the run. The chiefs don't have a great run game, so lets hold them and let Orton try to beat us.
4. Now everyone is saying Orton knows our team. The offense changed big time once Tebow started, yes Orton was their for some of it, but im sure he didnt learn too many of the plays and such. He was the third stringer and didnt get many reps.
Also our D practiced against Orton all season. They know him as-well as anyone, Orton knows our D too so No one really has an advantage here.
5. Tim Tebow, we need you to bounce back and have a strong showing. Gain some confidence back, show everyone that game was just a bad game.
Now win or loss, we as fans need to put this season into perspective. We started 1-4 with a young, very young team. To control our own destiny to the playoffs on the final week of the season? Who would have bet that would have happened? I was optimistic we could do it, but knew it was a long shot. So hey if we lose, it will suck obviously. But our young guys will continue to grow, our team will continue to grow and improve this offseason and we'll comeback strong next year.
I've seen alot of negativity around here, so figured i'd try to put somethings into perspective.
Hope you all had a great Christmas.
Go Broncos! Playoffs here we come!
