Last word regarding Von Miller….he’s trying to convince the training staff to let him play. They’re worried about infection.

I think we'll be fine

Vikings arent any juggernaut of an offense. No AP, Rookie QB, Not a great OL id be okay with him missing this game and having him ready for the Caleb Hanie lead bears

We wont need Von or a 4TH Quarter comeback from tebow to beat the Vikes

No AP, Rookie QB with only 1 weapon(Harvin) who Champ should shut down

at least, when AP is there. Without him?….. well, that is at least a `10% drop.

with the expection of the 1st drive, they shut us down until the last drive.

we were able to pick some yards on the ground but never enough to get any points.

I think our defense can do wonders to the Minny offense but if the same passing game shows up today as the one for the Jets game (both QB and WR) then it’ll be a close game.

I still have the broncos winning today, I just think it’ll be closer then people think.

How was it?

"I'm going to be a Bronco forever" -Rahim Moore

by Pmoreno95 on Dec 4, 2011 10:31 AM MST up reply actions

It was pretty good.

Lots of talk about the sustainability of the offense in the read option. I agree, to a point. Running ONLY the read option is a solvable problem. Although it does make the defense defend 11 players instead of 10, if that’s the only play in the playbook, then it won’t work for long.

However, with each new wrinkle that the Broncos add, it helps increase the sustainability. If you think about the read option as a simple play action, then the entire route tree is available. Does anyone at ESPN think that the shotgun is an unsustainable offense? Heck no. Well, the read option is a running play, but if you take out the running element of the play, it’s a spread option shotgun formation. I think that, as Tebow develops, that’s what the Broncos will start to use. The read option running play will still be there, but it will be there to disguise a play action passing game.

Respect is not given it is earned dog gonit...and they don't respect us...nobody respects us... you know what you got to do in that situation? TAKE IT!!!!!

by Troy Hufford on Dec 4, 2011 10:35 AM MST up reply actions

Thanks Troy!

It’s just like anything else, the defense has to prepare for it, and you can run it out of multiple formations and for multiple purposes. I’ll just put it this way, if it can work in college, it sure can in the pros—-seems to really slow down a pass rush!

by Bronco Mike on Dec 4, 2011 10:38 AM MST up reply actions

Right.

Just like anything else, it’s great in moderation. I don’t like it as the ONLY play we run, but it can work if used in the right situations. The passing game has to improve, but in the meantime, it’s pretty fun to watch.

I keep comparing the option to Shanny's bootleg

the bootleg by itself is a gimmick but Shanny was able to build an entire offense around it by basically pounding the ball at the defense, getting them to think run and then hitting them out of the blue with a bootleg.

Same with the option, pound them with the run, then pull out an option run to the left side or better yet an option PA pass.

And now for something completely different

First "It’s embarrassing to think the Broncos could win with Tebow!!"

Now Feral Hog says they can’t win a Super Bowl like this. Next it will be they can’t win multiple. Just let these guys play and give your analysis based upon their play and stop with the ever changing predictions.

Man I'm torn on what game to watch:(

Do I watch the Broncos and see if this is the week god foresakes Tebow, or watch my Chiefs with Plunko at QB STINKIN’ up the field.

It just sucks knowing your season is over and most likely some people will be losing their jobs. Then it’s back too learning a new system and a QB controversy next year, man will it ever change.

I don't like the matchup between the Vikes' run D and our offense.

Assuming Tebow has to resort to the air, I don’t see him having the eons of time he’s had in the past few weeks against the likes of Jared Allen.

NFLN guys seem to think that Jared Allen might have a little trouble maintaining gap discipline, though, so it will be interesting to see.

I would much rather nobody believed in this team. Michael Irvin is giving the Broncos (and Tebow) more love than I’ve ever seen out of him.

Let me rephrase -

it’s nice to see MSM support. But it’s weird, sensationalist support. And I like that we are favored, I just feel like over-hype tends to make teams implode.
Hopefully this team is above that.

Listening to "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger...Here I am on the road again, there I am again up on the stage, there I go playing the star, here I am, here I am, turn the page....

You all are way too nervous about this game where for the first time since Timmie Tebow should have a great game passing and scoring points. Our defense will do what the have to do to keep it close for the Tebow…The games we should be worrying about if your going to worry is the Bears and Pats games upcoming…Not this one….
