It has been entertaining to try to follow what all the talking heads are saying about Tebow, and see which of the biggest meatheads will finally crack first and break down and admit that Tebow brings more to the plate than they thought. We have the usual suspects of Hoge, Cowherd, Prisco, Stephen A, Cris Carter, Boomer, and Trent Dilfer. We also had the other well-known guys like King and Banks and the clowns at NFLN, while they have not been beating down the wall about how terrible Tebow is, they certainly were doubters.

Well, most of the quieter doubters have given way to logic, and even though they don't get it still, they have admitted there is no other alternative than to say that Tebow has it. As far as the top tier goes,well, it has been interesting. According to some of the MHR members, Hoge actually admitted to some improvement on Tebow's part today (which isn't much, but hey it's Hoge), Stephen A. commending Tebow on having a strong game while still holding off on getting on the bandwagon, and Dilfer somehow finding a way to say I told you so???? OK, Dilfer is a tool, and any shred of credibility he has is out the window. Prisco is still being a moron about it, and rest I don't know about, though I'm sure Carter still will have that stupid smirk and wonder why he even has to talk about it. He has been the one I have wanted to punch in the face more than any of them. Or I should say he was. Believe it or not, the one I want to smack now is the one who doesn't belong in the group, the one who has man-crushed on Tebow the whole time, Skip Bayless. Bet you didn't see that one coming, did you? What? I put it in the title of the post? Dammit, never mind.

Why have I had it with Bayless you ask? Other than his schtick is horrible with the yelling over everyone else, and the table-slapping? It is the way he chooses to take a giant dump on the rest of the team when he is trying to talk up Tebow. The whole "it's Tebow doing it and nobody else" thing really, really gets to me. This morning he called Decker the 32nd best number 1 receiver in the league, and that he wasn't even a top 50 receiver in the league last week. Really Skip? Now I'm sure most of us agree that Decker would be better suited as a number 2, but to think that there isn't a worse number 1 around, let alone 5 or 6? This morning he said our defense did NOTHING before this streak started, and the same with McGahee. Really Skip? Didn't this defense keep us close in at least 2 of those losses at the start of the year, with Orton failing when it was his opportunity to lead a single-score comeback, despite all the injuries that unit had in the start? Hasn't McGahee been money virtually all year? This morning he said that this organization, including Fox has given him ZERO support the entire time. Really Skip, you mean the head coach that bailed him out a bit by having an offense installed that tailor fit him to get him going while he develops and lets the play slow down.

It's nice to have somebody on Tebow's side among them all, but if it has to be this guy, I'd rather have nobody. The guy is a complete joke, and his need to tear down the rest of the organization in order to try to build his guy up is pretty sad. It's not that common of a theme on this site at all, but the constant portrayal of Tebow as the diamond among the pile of garbage by his most over-zealous fans makes me want to take my TV, my computer, and burn them using the sports section of my newspaper. Please don't make it about one guy, and make it about the team. The team has played like a playoff team for the most part, including Tebow, especially yesterday when he picked them up. I love the Tebow-love, I despise the trash being spoke about the Denver Broncos.
