No Flex For You: Broncos and Patriots Remain A Sunday Afternoon Affair

Out trip through the twilight zone continues, this time with the 24-hour delay in the Flex Scheduling announcement for Week 15.  At last, the NFL has announced that, well, nothing has changed for Week 15, with the Denver Broncos contest against the New England Patriots will remain at 2:15 mt.  The Baltimore Ravens will face the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football.

Various reports abound about why the Broncos and Patriots weren't moved, but it all comes down to money.  This isn't a case of the Broncos receiving national disrespect - not this time - no, this is all about Robert Kraft, CBS and the fact the network already lost a game to Fox last Sunday.

I will say, if this game were scheduled to be played in New England, would CBS have won the battle?

Below is the official release from the NFL:

The final Week 15 NFL schedule was announced today with the originally scheduled Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers game remaining in place on NBC's Sunday Night Football.

The NFL utilizes "flexible scheduling" on Sundays in Weeks 10-15, 17.  Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all NFL Sunday time slots in those weeks and give teams a chance to play their way onto primetime and into the late-afternoon 4:15 PM ET time slot on CBS and FOX.
