I will not wax strong in cliches

For sure
all this hype is getting me a little worried, hope the players are focusing on the cliche
Release the Tebow!
The 2009 Broncos bought the hype and got their asses handed to them by a physical team like the Ravens.
Even if the Broncos lose this Sunday, I need to see the Broncos match up physically well with this Bears defense. We’ll at least know we don’t have a paper tiger on our hands.
We matched up physically with the Raiders with Tebow
Raiders usually manhandles the Broncos’ sweet ass. But this time the Broncos did the manhandling…

Everyone said the Vikings game
would be reflective of who we really are and this is true. We were the favorites and the Vikings, notwithstanding their record, have some players. All of their losses have been by three points or so, except for the Monday night game at Lambeau and the game at Chicago. We are physical enough to smack the Cindy Bears in the face, yeah I said it!

I think your right brad and if the offense can get started early it will be a long day for the Bears...

I think this game is more important then the pats game.
The bears defense will be the best defense the broncos have faced so far. If the broncos do well there, then the pats game won’t be an issue. Also I do agree, this might be the most physcial team the broncos have played yet. The broncos are playing more physical this year, but this will be more of a test than the raiders. The bears defense makes very few mental mistakes.

that may be true
but they don’t play complimentary football. Hanie has six picks in two starts and there is no Matt Forte, let’s just play our game, we can do this!

agree
I think this game will be a good test for the offense, better than the patriots game. But our defense should easily seal this game for us.
The patriots game will be a harder test for the defense, so our offense is going to really have to step it up that week. Much like against the Vikes, in fact i think the corners play is about equal on both teams.
To be or not to be, that is the question...
I don’t think coach Fox/McCoy will change much on the offense from what they have been doing unless they have a few more wrinkles up their sleeve that they haven’t showed yet. Ground and pound is the name of the tune when the 4th qtr rolls around that when things start popping if the game is close. Our defense will be tested to their fullest with Brady and it will take some creative gamecalling on DC Allen’s part. Remember the Broncos have owned the Patriots and Tom Brady in the past and there isn’t any sense in changing that now…

If the broncos offense puts up 30 against the bears, than I will have a ton of confidence in the playoffs.
This will be the best defense Tebow has played this year. I want to see what he’ll do.

The strars are truly aligning for a Cinderella season with opponents injuries...
Like head coach John Fox said, “nobody had a pity-party for us when we faced the Bengals at home with 4-5 of our starters”, yet we won the game… Now we are set to face the mighty Bears’ defense at home and the rhetoric continues that clearly it’s the ‘broken-down’ teams that the Broncos are beating, not Timmie Tebow or anything else. I find it amusing how our wins have transpired, but that’s the way the football bounces and we have a big opportunity to once again take advanage oft the other teams demise (Cutler and Forte). I remember the time (not to long ago) when the Bears’ Matt Forte was being scrutinized as not a star runningback because he had trouble holding on to the ball in important moments, now look at him?
Not looking past the Bears to the N-E Patriots because they do have an outstanding defense and you never know if our defense is going to give QB Caleb Hanie and Mario Barber a career day like they did rookie Christian Ponder and Gerhart…The defense, offense and special teams play hand in hand in making a game out of it, that’s what football is, a TEAM effort, not individual stats…But, when the Patriots play this weekend, I hope they get dinged up some before they come to town, because they can score a lot of points on a defense like ours if we aren’t careful…So, yes, I declare this a Cinderella season and why not, other teams don’t care how banged up you are…
Go Broncos! 11-5 Baby!!! Until we ain’t!

One of the big stories of the day is, "Where will Peyton Manning land"...
Pundits and analysts have already penciled in Andrew Luck to the Colts with their first pick and declare that Luck won’t want to HOLD the clipboard for any time, he wants to start right away. I say hog-wash! College prospects don’t have the luxury of doing what they want, and, it would be better for Luck to learn on the sidelines while the Master mentors him…
“You don’t want to turn the keys to the organization over to a rookie or second-year quarterback,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “Just like you don’t turn your investment portfolio over to some guy who is just starting out. Now, that doesn’t mean you don’t like him. It’s just not what people do.”
Remember, championship quarterbacks aren’t born, they’re made. Get all the milage out of Manning you can get and develop your defense over there in Indianapolis, while Luck develops into the Colts’ future…

I could picture Peyton with the Skins
Dan Snyder REFUSES to rebuild so he needs a stopgap. I’m OK with anyone winning that division except the Cowgirls so go for it Redskins, you need big names with an owner like that

Do the Colts have the $
to pay Manning $28mm and a first pick in the draft? Even if they do it doesnt leave much for little things like O Linemen.
It all starts in the trenches - HT 11/11/08
Leave the hateful vitriol to the uninformed - HT 3/16/09
Then again they must think about what Manning gives them when he is playing...Winning. Where Luck is an unknown commodity at the moment and just a prospect like Matt Leinart/JaMarcus Russel were at one time...
Granted i do feel Luck will eventually be a great (good at most) quarterback, but like John Fox, I’m a believer of the ‘holding of the clipboard’ to start out any quarterbacks career. Some teams are saddled with starting rookie QBs (Rams/Bradford, Jets/Sanchez, Lions/Stafford etal…), but the Colts are in the perfect position to restart the organization under Manning while Luck learns the system/scheme. Thats if Manning is really able. I think they would be better suited to go the veteran way for at least a year and mybe two, but that’s just me and Fox feeling the younsters need to learn…

I dont see the point in picking up a quarterback, even a hall of fame quarterback, for just his final 2 years or so before he retires. Rather than investing in a stop gap we should invest in a young up and coming Qb so we have reliability at the position for the next decade. It took John 13 years to get a ring. TT is coming along and has a lot of upside, if he dose not work out then we will draft another 1st qb and go from there. Bottom line were not in a postion as an organization where it makes sense.

I’ll take 2 or 3 years of Peyton Manning any day…I like winning. Hes like the MVP of the league the last decade. Look what he does to a team.

We are winning. Why invest 30 million a year when there has been no evidence things are not panning out? Prettier wins? Prettier losses? If we were still in the basement then that might make sense but an extra 30 mil a year for the same W’s were already posting sounds more like Madden ball then real football

I think that quickly dismissing one of the best qbs of all time is ignorant and foolish. Who last year threw for 4700 yards and 33 TD’s with virtually the same team that is now 0-12 and with him they went 10-6.

30 million for 10-6 with pretty stats or 6 million for 11-5 to 9-7 depending on how things shake out with tebow. hmmmm sounds like a huge investment for much of the same to me

Sorry waterboy I didn't respond, I had to go to town...
When I said ‘bagage’ I was referring to his enormous contract the Colts laid on him. And besides why would we put Timmie Tebow back on the shelf? That would be like giving up on the Tebow experiment and we’d have to find another QB that we would hope would be our franchise QB for at least 10 years. Peyton will be 36 in march and he isn’t getting any younger and with this injury (neck injury~bagage of the Nth degree) why spend good money after bad? I get that philosophy especially when coach Fox is a RUN forst offensive guy…
This noise about Manning going to KC or the tRaiders? I don’t have a problem with my division rivals groping for straws! Remember how the Greatest of all time Joe Montana was going to upstart the Chiefs season in 96-97? Hmm? Well that worked out real well since the chiefs are not Bill Walsh…
