Crazy Draft Day Idea.. Or is it?

Another day gone, and not a step closer to getting a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).  Originally wanted to do another mock, but after reading so many that only start a few ways when you have the 2nd overall pick. With Fairley, Peterson, Dareus, Bowers, or more recently Miller being the only reasonable picks there. Then off course we have the trade down mocks, and the over used idea of Trading Orton.  Not that I am against trading Orton, I personally believe the idea to trade players before the draft is not going to even be a possibly due to the CBA. So instead of doing my usual once in awhile mock draft, I was thinking about another interesting draft day possibility.

First want to say that I am no expert at evaluating prospects, but after seeing so many arguments or discussions on who the Broncos should draft in the first round.  I began to think why not get two of top 10 defensive prospects this year. I understand this Idea may be a little far-fetched and improbable, but it  is not impossible. I wanted to give MHR a fresh idea.  Could you imagine getting both a Peterson and Dareus or Bowers and Prince A..., or many other great combos?

I am a personaly believer that Patrick Peterson is the best DB Prospect since Champ himself, however I also think Bowers may be one of the best 4-3 DEs to come out in awhile.  I not sold on Fairley of Dareus being better then last years best D player in Suh.  Which leads me to the reason I had this idea, I recently read a few MHR comments from fellow contributors that say "I would rather have that dominate (2nd) player then trade down" or something of that sort. So I start thinking: would I rather have maybe a Prince or Von Miller and an extra 2nd, 3rd.. If we trade down or do I want that dominate player in Fairley and my current two 2nds?  So using the same logic, here is my crazy but thought out idea: why not trade down to about 6-7 and use what we acquired and trade it along with our two 2nds, and most likely next years 2nd and jump back up to about 8-9?  So the package would look something like this.  A 2nd a 3rd, a 5th (Acquired from trading down from 2 to 7) Our current two 2nd rounders and *maybe* next years 2nd, Two jump to about 8.  Therefore we would have the 6th overall and the 8th overall. And before you start looking at your draft day pick chart value, don't bother.  Not interested, As Four 2nds, a 3rd, and a 5th, for a 1st again is not likely but possible.

If we did this I guarantee we could get two of those top players...  I see multiple mocks that have Peterson falling to Dallas, so we may be able to snag him at 8, and with our 6th get either Fairley, Dareus, Bowers, Miller..  which all depends on how far a QB like Cam jumps in to mix, and with AJ Green....  If CBA is reached before draft, the previously mentioned Kyle Orton trade could help out with my crazy idea with extra leverage. The obvious thing the nay sayers will say besides the pick value chart (covered) is that we have to many holes to make a trade like that, we need more picks, but then would also be the ones to say no lets not trade back, we need a dominate player.

Not saying im for the idea, just wanted to give MHR a new buzz to talk about for draft day, maybe see some Trade up mocks. All in all, I cant make up my mind on who I want a 2, so figured a way I could have a couple first rounders this year with out giving up next years first, and keeping our 3rd.  As always excuse the typos, and hope you enjoyed.
