I don't think he'll last until the second round.

when I read "are you kiddin' me"
I read it as if Mike Mayock said it.

They said I couldn't win a national championship. They said I wouldn't be a first round draft pick. They said I couldn't play in the league. Appreciate that." - Tim Tebow.
I like the way Bradshaw says it because he'll have a clueless look to go with it

There's a reason for that...
it is because he is clueless

Freak of nature.
So much for him being available at #36.

All that proves is he can bench press a lot...
It is no indication of his playing ability. Have you seen the names of the other people on the combine bench press list since 2000? The leaderboard includes the likes of Mitch Petrus (2010), Leif Larsen (2000), Mike Kudla (2006), Jeff Owens (2010), Brodrick Bunkley (2006), Scott Young (2005), Tank Tyler (2007) and Isaac Sopoaga (2004). The list isn’t really filled with difference makers. I hope Paea’s stock rises and someone else takes him. That just means someone more talented, but not as strong, falls to us.
I generally concur, but
By all accounts Paea is a VERY talented prospect. Before the combine, a lot of people already had him rated as one of the top interior defensive line prospects in an already deep class.
agreed. He is a great run stuffer and showed an ability to get to the QB with 6 sacks last year.
He was a mid 1st round prospect before injuring his knee.

Damn, beat me to it...
I know it’s one drill, but anybody still think he’ll make it to the second round?
#36th overall pick.

Those short stout arms will get you the reps...
Doesn’t mean he’ll be the best DT in the draft though and I have seen him get beat out of a lot of plays…Longer arms, broad hip and fluid moves will be better. Just like Doom and his long arms at 5’11…
Doesn't mean anything...
Sure it’s a nice stat to have and such but when you look at the list of guys who’ve lived in the 40’s on the bench not one of them is an NFL star (maybe Brodrick Buckley). I think what is more important for his position of DT is lower body strength. I think the kid is a beast and going to be a good football player but this new record doesn’t mean anything in terms of his football production.

Impressive, but . . . .
so what? So he can bench a lot. Truth is, the bench does little for football except help a guy bench press the guy off of him that just pancaked his ass. Tell me his clean and squat maxes and I will tell you if he is a football player. The true mark of a good football player is lower body strength and hip explosion.
