Denver Broncos Will Work Out Punter Kash Kiefer
Just killed an audition. Now ready to nail some punts at #UCLA as I prep for my workout in #Denver next week with the #Broncos
The Denver Broncos will workout Kash Kiefer, the former Maine Black Bear Punter. Kiefer hasn't been seen on an NFL roster and has been busy, but there are numerous youtube videos that show his punting ability, including an 82 yard punt that you have to see to believe. The Broncos appear to be, at least, somewhat interested in watching this guy punt in person, so they're giving him a shot. It remains to be seen whether or not a roster move will be made of this.
I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of this guy before. After doing a google search on him, I can say with relative certainty that Kash Kiefer is the most unique punter I've ever researched. There's really no good way to transition to this video, so I'll just submit the link...
In addition to being a punter with a booming leg, he is an experienced dancer and was on a Jerry Springer hosted dating show called Baggage.
I have grown up in a dance studio since the age of 3. I have been involved in tap, jazz, clogging, tap, and acrobats. I played football and cheered at two divison 1 schools (West Virginia University and the University of Maine). I was a member of the 2006 West Virginia football team Nokia Sugar Bowl Champions. I was the starting punter for the University of Maine Blackbears from 2006-2008. I hold the longest punt record for the Univ. of Maine at 82 yards. I have been training with former NFL kicking coach Doug Blevins for the past year but am looking at getting into acting/dance and modeling. I love to workout and eat healthy!
This guy is unique, to say the least.

I think he should go to Seattle.
He and Matt Hasselbeck would get along swimmingly.

Well we've always said this team needed to be more nimble and agile
In reference to dance background
But in all seriousness when i read we were working out a new punter i was like, “Colquitt was fine, do we really need to look at punters this offseason as well” Then i saw the 82 yard punt. Okay i’ll accept replacing Colquitt for this guy if he can place those 82 yard punts nicely.
And now for something completely different
The 10 MPH wind gusts in favor of his direction probably helped
but geesh, thats one hell of a punt still!

put that kick at altitude
and he’s gonna have to take a little off it to avoid a touchback! ; )

Punted it from the goaline to the opposing 5-yard line is insane.

So did we confirm his workout is with the football team or the dance team?
That’s not really that clear to me :/

lol I don't think we have any Pon Poms
and I’m not quite sure, but are the cheerleaders now accepting guys to hold them up above their heads? If so, can I get a tryout??? lol

He is actively putting out film on youtube as a punter, not a dancer.
Nothing is confirmed, at this point. All I saw was a tweet from Kash, so I put this up. To be fair, the tweet does include the fact that he’s practicing his punting at UCLA before going to Denver – presumably to get ready for a punting workout.

Haha, yea sorry that was more sarcasm than anything.
I think it really comes to show that we could see more change to the roster than expected from Elway/Xanders/Fox.

Maybe both
I bet he can bust some good moves after a good punt.
Ahh damn this videos Canadian restrictions.
Can someone give me a quick summary. I’m guessing he just does some odd dace.

He could be brought in to compete in training camp.
No harm in competition, right?

Being a Vandal I remember TJ Conley being good
we should get him from the jets, he hasn’t played yet as far as I know.
Unless we bring him in and he consistently gets much more distance than Colquitt he isn't going to make the team.
Colquitt has shown that he can get the job done well. I don’t see how he loses his spot to this guy…but hey…we drafted Tim Tebow in the 1st round last year…so I guess anything goes right?

indeed
and hey, we have a QB that can run… why not a punter that can run? : )

i think this just means
that elway needs to back of the whole social network thing.
I'm not sugarcoating this.
SIGN THIS KID
I’d pay good money to watch him and Brady Quinn have ab and pouty face contests on the sideline. This is hilarious…and tremendously disturbing….
Also...
Training with Doug Blevins is a pretty big deal. I remember reading a SI article on Blevins and he’s one of the most well-respected kicking tutors in the NFL. Wheel chair-bound since childhood (he as cerebral palsy), the guy has always loved football and became particularly interested in the fundamentals and mechanics of kicking and punting. He has tutored the likes of…let me reread… Adam Vinatieri, David Akers, Joe Nedney, Olindo Mare, Shayne Graham, Matt Turk, Josh Miller, Chris Hanson and others and – at the time of the article – had worked directly with the Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins. Does him working with Kiefer mean that Kiefer is a particularly grand pupil – not necessarily, I’m sure Blevins will work with whomever employs him for his services – but at the very least the guy is going to on of the best kicking minds around – that shows iniatiive. And Jeff Rodgers were to ever have a cold…
if his girlfriend is sick
he will go get her something, he is full of surprises…. XD

pfft, that was only 70 yards in the air. Bum.

Yeah, but that wasn't in the thin air of Mile High, either.
He might hit 90, for all we know. Although, from what I could find on the guy, I don’t think he has been playing football in a few years. I wonder how he’ll workout.
The ignorant redneck formerly known as kentuckybronco.
He's actually good.
I go to Maine and have seen him play, he’s was one of the best players on the team.
If the Punter is the best player on the team, that’s not good. See Shane Lechler, Oakland Raiders.
Because that’s the only player they will have left after this offseason
