"The Minnesota Vikings own the 12th pick in the NFL draft and to be in position to select Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert, the thinking is they will have to trade up several spots. As the National Football Post reported Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers will put Gabbert through a private workout this weekend with coach Ron Rivera, general manager Marty Hurney and offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski expected to attend. The Panthers hold the top pick in the draft and Gabbert is being discussed as a potential No. 1 selection."
