Want the answers, here you are:

  • A - Kyle Orton
  • B - Jake Locker
  • C - Tim Tebow
  • D - Landry Jones
  • E - Ryan Mallet
  • F - Blaine Gabbert
  • G - Andrew Luck
  • H - Brady Quinn
  • I - Cam Newton
  • J - Matt Barkley

Did you have fun playing this game. Well I hope not. I bet your probably sick to your stomach even thinking about drafting a QB high this year. I know I am but let's get serious now.

The two most lackluster stats up their are from QB B (Locker) and QB F (Gabbert). Both these QB's have one thing in common. They've both got scheduled private workouts with the Broncos. Now look at QB A (Orton), C (Tebow), and H (Quinn). Both those QB's have far superior stats and are currently on the Broncos roster. Based on stats alone, which QB do you want.

Now lets look at the other two QB's (I - Newton, E - Mallett) deemed potential 1st round picks in this years draft. Once again far superior stats to those the Broncos are looking at. Comparing them to the stats of the current Broncos QB's they're pretty similiar. So why aren't the Broncos looking at these guys. Well one has character concerns and the other is almost identical to Tebow.

Okay then, the last three QB's (D - Jones, G - Luck, J - Barkley) are the current top prospects of next years draft. Both QB D and QB G destroy the two QB's we're looking at. Even QB J who has one of the weaker stats is better then F and B. So why not look at these guys next year.

It blows my mind that the Broncos are even considering taking a QB this year. Not one of them is worth a top 10 pick and the top 4 all have gigantic question marks surrounding each of them.

Blaine Gabbert is not bad prospect. He's got a ton of tools you look for in a QB. He's got a strong arm, quick release and had a good completion percentage in college. The problem I have with his accuracy is that while he can get the ball to the QB, he often times puts it in a poor place which either makes it hard for the WR to catch or puts the receiver in a compromising postion. He also did not show me he can read defenses. He'd only make one or two reads and if they weren't open, he'd instantly scramble. He has little pocket presence and has incredible happy feet.

Nothing about this guy warrants a top selection. He's a first rounder for sure but the only reason both he and Cam Newton are considered top 10 picks is because this years draft sucks. The only teams who should be interested in him in the top 10 are teams in dire need of a QB.

If you ask me Ryan Mallett is the top QB in the draft but he isn't a 1st round pick because of character issues. Ryan Mallett is a big, strong armed QB who showed more ability to pick apart a defense then Gabbert did. The problem with Mallett is that he is a pylon with an elongated release. He's also got a ton of character issues but none of them seem to be checking out so it'll be interesting to see if any of them are actually true.

Then there's ole' Newton or Tebow 2.0. So why is Newton a top 5 pick and Tebow wasn't even considered a 1st rounder. Well Newton has a quicker release and umm... well gee wiz guys I just don't know. The only other reason I can think of is because this years draft sucks.

What about Locker, he was the concensus #1 pick last year. Yeah until people realized that he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Locker looks like a QB. Big arm, very athletic, good mechanics but his accuracy is awful. I said Gabbert had mediocre accuracy but at least he got the ball to the receiver.

So based on all this information which QB do you want to replace Tebow with. Me, none of them. I can't think of one good reason to draft a QB this year and give up on Tebow.

But AB, John Elway isn't sold on Tebow so we should trade him for picks. Hey, I'm not sold on Tebow either, that doesn't mean I'm willing to give up on him for some QB who's just as much a project as he is.

But AB, Tebow can't throw the football. All he can do is run. Looking at the stats alone neither can Gabbert or Locker. In fact lets name the two most accurate passers #1 Luck, #2 Tebow.

But AB, Gabbert looks more like an NFL QB then Tebow. Really now, does he. Gabbert never took snaps from center. He's got poor footwork and doesn't have great accuracy. Sure his release isn't as elongated but if thats the only reason you want Gabbert over Tebow, you might wanna come up with a better one. And if this is the case, why doesn't anyone ever talk about Mallett's elongated release and why is Cam Newton a top 5 pick. Isn't he almost the exact same type of  QB that Tebow is.

But AB, all the experts say he is the best QB in the draft and will be a sure fire success. They say he will be the #1 QB and if he's not, Newton will. They also said Ryan Leaf would be better then Peyton Manning.

Look I'm not saying Tebow is definitely going to succeed. He is a project and he needs time to develop but just look at what he accomplished in college. Look at what he was able to do in his first three games as a pro. He's on the team and I'm more than willing to give him a shot. If he fails, well there is always next year to draft a QB. A year that happens to be much stronger at the QB position.

So EFX, I ask you, no I beg you. PLEASE DON'T TAKE A QB THIS YEAR. We are in an excellent position to improve our 31st ranked defense and can't afford to miss this opportunity. We have three QB's with starter experience and ability. Two of them are former 1st round picks and the other a more then adequate starter. Do we need a QB of the future, perhaps but do we need one right now. NO! So lets give Tebow one more year. Let him show you what he's got. No matter who's the starting QB, we're not gonna make the playoffs so what's the harm. Evaluate him throughout the year and then decide if you wanna make a play at Luck, Jones, or Barkley. Just please don't take a QB this year.

If you do take a QB and you trade away both Orton and Tebow, it will, not it might, IT WILL be the biggest mistake in recent history for the Broncos.

Defense all the way! ORANGE CRUSH FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
