Building a Great Team thru the draft - Mock Draft.

The more and more I think about the Draft - the more I believe that The Denver Broncos will draft Marcell Dareus.  He reminds me of BJ Raji of The Green Bay Packers.  At 6'3" 319lbs he has a huge base and would make a great addition to the Broncos Dline.

I also think that with Champ resigning and Goodman under contract for 1 more year and Perrish Cox who some scouts said had 1st Round Talent (innocent until proven guilty) and throw in SydQuan Thompson , the Broncos are in good shape at CB.

Team needs going into the draft.

1.     DT - Only Justin Bannan and Jamaal Williams(who I think will be cut) are under contract.  Denver is going to try to resign Marcus Thomas and Kevin Vickerson but that is still up in the air.

2.     S -   Brian Dawkins is due $6 million and looks OLD.  Renaldo Hill stinks in coverage and isn't very good. Darcel McBath is always hurt and David Bruton is only a special teamer.

3.     Oline - Yes - Ryan Harris isn't under contract and besides Zane Beadles we don't have a RT.

4.     RB -  Knowshon Moreno is a decent player but has yet to live up to his 1st Round Status.

5.     TE -  Daniel Graham just got cut and Denver is probably going to draft a TE.

2011 NFL Draft

1st Round PIck ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Marcell Dareus - 6'3" 319lbs - Dareus will give Denver a ROCK at DT for years.  He is very big , very stout and will give Denver a STUD DT for years.

Marcell-dareus

2nd Round Pick(#36)--------------------------------------------TRADE - Denver trades this pick down to Minnesota Vikings who draft QB Ponder.  Denver recieves the Vikings 2nd and 4th Round Picks.

2nd Round Pick (#43)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Rahim Moore - Free Safety - 6'0" 202lbs - Moore is the #1 rated Free Safety and would make a great addition to Denver's Secondary. Elway says that the only players who scare him are ones who can Intercept the football.  Moore has 14 Career Int's.

2nd Round Pick(#46)-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------    Marcus Cannon - RT/G - 6'5" 358lbs -  He reminds me of Carl Nicks and we know Fox drafted Jeff Otah.  Cannon would be a great addition to Denver's Oline.

3rd Round Pick ----------------------------------------------------TRADE - Denver trades it's 3rd to Philly for their 3rd , 4th and 5th Round Picks

3rd Round Pick(#85)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------    Mason Foster - OLB - Washington - 6'2" 245lbs - Foster had over 166 Tackles and 7 Sacks and would give Denver a great young LB.

 Final thoughts

1.      I really think that Denver will trade down atleast 1-2 times.  I think that trading the #2 pick in the draft is going to be very hard and almost impossible.

2.      I think Denver would get 3-4 Starters off this draft - Marcell Dareus , Rahim Moore , Marcus Cannon and possibly Mason Foster at OLB.

3.      I think that players like Mason Foster , Jalil Brown , Jordan Cameron , Alex Green , DaNorris Searcy , Weslye Saunders will give Denver a great nucleaus of good young players to build off of.

This draft would fill the DT , Free Safety and RT/G position.  Which to me is our biggest needs.
