I wonder what our front office took from his workout.

I just posted this and saw yours. I delete mine.

But he won’t fall to the 2nd. I wish he’d fall to us in the second but that is beyond unrealistic.

Draft Peterson. Elway fears him.

"They said I couldn't be a high school quarterback, they said I couldn't get a D1 scholarship. You're not good enough, you're not skilled enough. They said I couldn't win a heisman. They said I couldn't win a national championship. They said I wouldn't be a first round draft pick. They said I couldn't play in the league. Appreciate that." - Tim Tebow.

Yeah....

I was assuming the medical issue was taken care of. Guess not. I’m not sure I want to risk it with the #2 pick.

Bowers needs to fire his agent

His agent said this week that Bowers was ready. It doesn’t seem that way to me.

This is why you wait until you know you’re 100% instead of rush ahead like this to make your pro day. All he did today was lower his stock. I bet some team is going to be happy about it.

PFT isn't that credible of a source

The way it was put over at NFP, it didn’t seem that bad to me. I recommend reading somewhere in the middle. The kid has upstanding character and also thinks he will be ready. Since we don’t know when the season will start, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. That said, I don’t know if I can take drafting another player with health questions. This team can’t afford to wait on their high draft picks. 6th and 7th rounders you can take a chance on, but definitely not #2

I heard his agility drills went well

But his 40 was horrid. I don’t put much stock in the 40, but high 4.9ish times scare me. I don’t consider it a knock on his ability or athleticism but it is indicative of not being completely healthy. I agree with you that we can’t afford to take an injury risk at the #2 pick. I feel bad for the kid, though. He seems like a genuine hard working guy who got a bad deal with the timing of his injury and some questionable moves by his agent.

Hmmmmmm

I’d like to hear what Ken Whisenhunt, Buffalo GM Buddy Nix, and Atlanta GM Thomas Dimitroff have to say about Bowers’ pro day.

Condolences to SWG, but....

It might have kept us from making a huge mistake. The pick is now Dareus or Miller if we stay pat. Best scenario is trade down with Buffalo, Bangles or Cards, still grab Miller and use two of the 2nd rounders on DTs.
