Following this morning’s news involving one Brandon Marshall, I am feeling the definite need to vent. While it is only my opinion, I am pretty sure some may be offended and I apologize ahead of time. This is my first MHR post and I am far from a writer so please excuse the errors.
While Brandon Marshall was one of the most electric players on the field during his time in Orange & Blue, he also was one of the most embarrassing. This morning when I woke to the news that he had been stabbed, as wrong as it would have been, I was very tempted to bash him because deep down inside I knew the he was not just an innocent victim. I kept my comments to a minimum because no matter what I believed, I could have been wrong. While not all the details have come out about this incident, he is now out of the hospital and I feel it is time for me to speculate.
We all know that Mr. Marshall has had many issues with domestic violence in the past. Some of us know this is not the first woman to apparently use a knife on him to defend herself. And I don’t think we have seen the end of this story. Then there is the "McDonald’s Bag" incident. I am pretty sure we can all imagine that there was no McDonald’s bag involved. What did happen that day is left to our imagination.
Another incident is not left to our imagination. While it is a very sore subject to bring up, I did say that I am venting and this is something that does eat at me. Thanks to the American Judicial system the truths about January 1st 2007 were put out in the for front and even I was in shock to learn that Mr. Marshall was partially to blame for the tragic events that occurred that early morning. I am not sure how many of you have had a chance to read the Sports Illustrated Article (Bad Nights In The Nfl ) that came out April 11th. But it is pretty clear after reading that article that those bullets did not have Darrent Williams or anyone else in that Limos name on them. They had Brandon and his cousin’s name on them. I wonder what it is like living everyday knowing that.
I could also go into the D.U.I. here in Denver and other stupid childish things he has done while we have got to know him. The one thing I was happy to see this morning is "Miami Dolphin Brandon Marshall" and not Denver Bronco Brandon Marshall. Mr. Marshall, if you are out there. You have destroyed enough people’s lives already. It is time for you to grow up and it is also time for you to seek help. You are going to be another tragic story somehow, someway if this does not stop.
