First Time Fan Post + Mock

Being a long time MHR “lurker” I figured it was time to come out of the woodwork so to speak and give my first attempt at a fan post. I’d like to start off by saying the last 6 years have been pretty terrible for all us Broncos fans, but the future does look promising. I feel the organization is headed in the right direction, and we have the right people in place to make sound decisions. I also know that there is no 1 or 2 year fix for the team; we are most likely looking at 3-4 years to get the ship right.

So without further ado here is my 1st attempt at a mock draft (first 4 picks only). I do welcome constructive criticism, but please be gentle in your assessments.

Round 1, Pick 2 (2nd overall) Marcell Dareus, DL, Alabama- I think Dareus would be a good, safe pick at #2 and would fill an immediate need

Round 2, Pick 4 (36th overall) Jimmy Smith,CB, Colorado- At #36 Jimmy Smith would give us a big, athletic corner to play opposite of Champ.

Round 2, Pick 14 (46th overall)  Rahim Moore, S, UCLA-  Rahim Moore is the best free safety available, he can also play corner if needed

Round 3, Pick 3 (67th overall) Jarvis Jenkins,DT, Clemson- If he still at this spot I think Jenkins is a great pick. He is a space clogging DT that can collapse the pocket. He would be a good addition to our rebuilt D line.

For the first time in a long time I’m truly excited to see where this organization is headed. I’m thinking this year is the start of something special in Broncos Country.
