CombatChuk's Official 2011 Mock Draft (No trades, just productive players)

No. 2 Marcel Dareus DT

Dareus would bring in immediate impact to our horrid defense.  The guy can pressure the QB and is a great run stopper (no more Jamaal Charles getting career highs against us).  He has a fantastic motor and superb strength.  Denver picks him and Phillip Rivers doesn't look happy to see the Broncos on the schedule.

No. 36 Stephen Paea DT

Paea and Dareus will anchor the Defensive line for years to come.  Denver gets a passionate blue collar tackle to pair next to the defensive rookie of the year (Dareus).  Great run stopper (and pass rusher to boot).  QBs are going to be running for their lives when playing Denver.

No. 46 Kyle Rudolph TE

Our best pass catching Tight End last year was the least talented Gronkowski (Who regularly dropped passes his way).  Rudolph fixes a major weakness on the Broncos offense and is able to give a Tebow (Who I expect to be Starting QB) a new reliable target.

No. 67 Quan Sturdivant LB

This Tarheel is gifted Athletically and has fantastic instinct.  Has a nose for the ball.  Explosive speed and fairly good in coverage.  Quan will be a perfect MLB for John Fox's defense.  I'm hoping he'll be there at 67 (Mock drafts have him being taken 55-80)

No. 186 Carl Johnson OT

Carl Johnson is a MASSIVE OT.  Weighing in around 365 lbs would be a project.  Has a lot of raw athleticsm, Carl usually has protected the line by just being in the way.  Should lose 30 lbs to regain some quickness that will take him to the next level.

No. 189 Dion Lewis RB

Dion would be a perfect 3rd down RB for the Broncos.  He excells at running between the tackles, has explosive quickness, AND he's good at protecting the ball.  He isn't really a home run type of back (Not Sproles fast) but will break some defenders' ankles with his quickness

No. 247 Jermale Hines S

Our Safeties are getting old.  Renaldo Hill and Brian Dawkins will be collecting Social Security soon (I kid, I kid).  This draft wasn't particularly strong with Safeties, so the Broncos take a flyer on Hines.  Hines like to play up in the box and help against the run, at 6'1" 216lbs he has excellent size and speed.  Gets confused on zone coverages.  Worth a 7th rounder as a project.

I do expect the Broncos to trade down the last pick of the 2nd round to get some picks in the 4th and 5th round.  But if there was no trades.  This is how I see it paning out.
