Twas the night before the draft, when all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse who liked to go by the name of Royal with Cheese
The stockings were hung on the field goal post with great care
In hopes that Roger Godell would soon be there
The Children were all nestled snug in their beds
With visions of linemen, defensive backs and sacks and TD dances in their heads
And Elway in his No. 7 jersey and Mr. Bowlen in a fur coat
Had just settled in for 3 days of picks and choices to be made
When out on the field there arose such a clatter
For it sounded like the Barrel Man had cheered much louder
I jumped from my coach and turned on the TV to see the following picks made:
With the 1st pick the Broncos do dare to trade for a few and move back to Pick 7
WIth that pick we pick a man by the name Patrick Peterson along with Picks 76, a 5th and a 6th, and a 2nd rounder for 2012
With the next pick we select - Stephen Paea DT - OSU
With our 2nd pick 2nd round pick we select - Rodney Hudson C/G - FSU
With our 3rd round pick we select - Colin McCarthy MLB - The U
With our next 3rd round pick we select - Kenrick Ellis DT - Hampton
With our 5th Round pick we select - Ricky Elmore DE - Arizona
With our 1st 6th Round pick we select - Da' Rel Scott RB - Maryland
With our 2nd 6th Round pick we select - Virgil Green TE - Nevada
With our 3rd 6th Round Pick we select - Derek Newton OT - Arkansas State
With our 7th round pick we select - Mark Herzlich OLB - BC
And with that the commisioner waived good night to all and with a wink of the eye, sped away in a limo only to cry , "Merry Drafting to all and to all a good night"
