I officially suck at The Draft - and some randon thoughts

Well 3 rounds down and I still have been dumb founded by what The Denver Broncos do regardless if it is Josh McDaniels drafting or John Elway and John Fox.

I remember in the 2009 NFL Draft I wanted BJ Raji and Rey Maualuga and we drafted Knowshon Moreno and Robert Ayers.

This year barring a trade down I would have drafted Marcell Dareus and Bruce Carter.

So I am officially going on record that I am clueless.

Now to our draft picks and some thoughts.

1.    Von Miller = Stud and he will be a Excellent Player.  I am hoping for the best - 80 tackles and 9 Sacks in 2011.

2.    Rahim Moore = #1 rated Saftey and is what Elway likes = DB who can cause INT's.  He said those guys scared him.

3.    Orlando Franklin =  I hope and pray that he can play RT.  Denver has a huge need at RT and I would be disappointed if Franklin turns into a Guard.

4.    Nate Irving = ILB or OLB and sure he is decent player but this isn't my favorite pick.

My Draft would have been if we did pick Von Miller

1st -----------  Von Miller = Great Player

2nd ----------   Marvin Austin = DT - 6'3" 309lbs

2nd ----------   Mikel Leshoure = RB - 6'0" 225lbs

3rd -----------   Kenrick Ellis = DT - 6'5" 340lbs

Thoughts on the rest of the draft

4th Round Pick --------------------------------------------------  Marcus Cannon - OT/G - 2nd Round ability with a 90% success rate from cancer.  Benches 500lbs and Squats 700lbs.    Elway said the team needs to be great on 1 side of the ball and by adding Orlando Franklin and Marcus Cannon Denver would have a great Oline.

Other choice ------   Jalil Brown , DaNorris Searcy , DeAndre McDaniels , Luke Stocker , Kendall Hunter , Johnny White , Christian Ballard

5th Round Pick --------------------------------------------------  Lawerence Guy - DT - Arizona St - 6'4" 305lbs - Denver finally adds a DT but not sure of impact.

6th Round Pick --------------------------------------------------  Julius Thomas - TE - Portland ST - 6'5"245lbs -  Denver adds a TE

6th Round Pick --------------------------------------------------   Allen Bradford - RB - USC - 5'11" 242lbs - Denver adds a RB

7th Round Pick --------------------------------------------------   Graig Cooper - RB - Miami - 5'11" 205lbs - Denver gets another RB.

Free Agents

1.     Barry Cofield - DT - NY Giants - 50 Tackles and 4 Sacks at  6'4" 305lbs and is only 26 years old.

2.     Brandon Mebane - DT - Seattle - 26 years old -

Denver adds 2 DT's in Free Agency because they only drafted L. Guy.

Final thoughts

1.    I think Denver should still draft Marcus Cannon.  I think adding him to Ryan Clady , Zane Beadles , JD Walton , Chris Kuper , Orlando Franklin would give Denver a Great Young Oline.    He simply is the best player on the board in the 4th.

2.    Mark it down Denver will sign either Barry Cofield or Brandon Mebane in Free Agency.  We have to .

3.    We are set at LB -   with Drafting Von MIller and Nate Irving - Denver won't add a LB in FA.

4.    I officially SUCK
