Not wanting to lose my cool, but..

If the Broncos seriously draft a "franchise quarterback" prospect this year, I'll be seriously peeved. I know it's all "speculation" at the moment, but why not give Tebow a chance? What would it hurt? A year, I feel, would be a good gauge of his skill set, his ability to adapt to the next level, his "pro adaptability" if you will. Why would you throw something like that down the drain? Someone with the desire, dedication, and pure talent. EVEN IF they don't, bringing in another quarterback prospect makes no sense. If Tebow does pan out, it'd be a wasted pick when we have 2 quality backups on the roster as is. It just seems like things can never be stable in bronco land. Ever since 2005, it has been the hardest time to be a fan of ANY TEAM, I'd venture to say even harder than being a fan of the back to back to back to back super bowl losing Bills. From the AFC championship game with all the upside in the world, to great start after great start, building hopes, the emergence of a franchise QB in cutler, the arrival of an offensive genius, the promise of a high flying aerial assault, the departure of stars, the arrival of a controversial QB with all the talent in the world but mass scrutiny. Nothing has been stable, nothing has been sound.

I honestly think this isn't a smoke screen. Why, with their new "open door" way of doing things, would they throw the fans for a ringer when the obvious fan favorite is Tebow? Unless..unless, Fox, with his knowledge of the Panthers FO, may be trying to get them to pull the trigger on a qb to have other teams feel they need to jump on a trade up, and offer the Broncos valuable picks. Very much so a possibility, but still.. very un-nerving. I've been a fan for life.. but if Tebow is thrown away and succeeds elsewhere.. I don't know how much more I can take.
