The Denver Broncos made their first pick of Day 3 in the 2011 NFL Draft and they chose to select the #2 rated Safety in
the draft, to add to the first. Quinton Carter, a 6'1", 208 lb. Free Safety out of Oklahoma.
Carter is a versatile player who can player either Safety spot and will be able to cover slot receivers in a Big Nickel package. He has good closing speed, which will fit in Fox's new look Defense for the Broncos.
In the Cover 2, Quinton will be used as a Cornerback. He is a big hitter who can separate the ball from a receiver consistently.
Still no Inside Defensive Linemen, but one can't complain that the Denver Broncos have ignored the defense in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Go Broncos!
