A great day for America

Okay, this is not pertaining to the Broncos or to football, but I feel the need to acknowledge what the United States armed forces achieved yesterday. Osama bin Ladin is dead at last. Justice has been served for the mastermind of the attacks that changed the U.S. and ushered in one of the darkest periods in our history.

I hope that I speak for the entire community of football fans in general and Broncos fans in particular when I say a heartfelt thank you to our service men and women. The sacrifices of men and women like Pat Tillman have made our nation great and their continued sacrifices will enable us to live in safety and provide us the opportunity to enjoy watching the Broncos play on Sundays.

Oh, and I hope this puts things in perspective for the NFL and the players. There are more important things than a pro sports labor dispute, so lets get a deal done and ensure that the season begins on time.

Well, here's to a great season of Broncos football this year, and once more my sincere thanks to the United States armed forces for protecting our nation, our way of life and the opportunity to watch the greatest game ever conceived by man!
