asinsoin has helped me see the light. He made a statement about hindsight being 20/20 with the Josh McDaniels hire.
But for me there is no hind sight! Thanks man. I think it finally clicked and might explain a lot.
Ya see, I knew that Josh McDaniels was not the coach for the 2008 Denver Broncos and I never mentioned his name during my many discussions with friends, family and strangers about "Who are the Denver Broncos going to hire"? Never.
Considering the players that the 2008 Broncos had on both sides of the ball and what Mike Shannahan (a controlling offensive minded coach) did to the Broncos. Personally, I never imagined that Pat Bowlen would hire Josh McDaniels.
Fortunately, it wasn't personal back then. I didn't know much about the guy except what MSM told me but I didn't care either because he simply was not what the 2008 Denver Broncos needed at the time and Pat Bowlen was not going to hire him. Pretty cut and dry in my mind.
And sh*t went downhill from there, real fast. It's a bummer to because Josh McDaniels could have surprised me, that would have been nice. "Wow, that was a good trade. Or "gee that wasn't half bad". "golly, great call". "neat-O, that was a super draft pick". "hey, maybe this guy really does know what he's doing". "Could it be that Pat knew something that I didn't" Or one of my favorites would have been "shucks, this guy is a quick learner". Nothing....the negatives so vastly outweigh the positives that I still can't believe it.
I was and maybe still am in shock!
