Awesome
Any word on this getting published?
I can see an orange and blue coffee table book… Since Mr. Bena references Horse Tracks as the daily cup… Perhaps a title of Horse Tracks: Denver Broncos, By The Numbers.
The book wouldn’t necessarily have to have anything to do with ‘the greatest’ to wear any particular number, just a catalogue of every Bronco to wear each number would totally be worth having, I think. Especially if we could include a bit more about each player in place of the ‘greatest’ talk. ( ;
Definitely get something up on one of the scroll bars (like the MHR Training Camp shirts), if and when…. Let Us know. I wish I had some kind of connections to ‘get some feelers out’ on getting the ball rolling on rights and such. Regardless of players yet to come, this would still be a timeless collectible/piece of memorabilia.
Endless and perpetual thanks (again, some more, still… always) for all (of everyone’s) the efforts on this series, and for posting the list too!

First (and only, in our lifetimes) team to three consecutive SB wins (perhaps and then some)!!!! ( =

Just in case you didn’t know…. Kaptain… You are the official #1 Bronco fan. You have replaced the barrel man (RIP).
Congrats.
The Lockout bores me.

I went back and added him before the day was done. You can check #99. I also missed someone on #98(?) and went back and finished it too.

"They said I couldn't be a high school quarterback, they said I couldn't get a D1 scholarship. You're not good enough, you're not skilled enough. They said I couldn't win a heisman. They said I couldn't win a national championship. They said I wouldn't be a first round draft pick. They said I couldn't play in the league. Appreciate that." - Tim Tebow.
That was it.
He is the one. I updated him also.
Thanks Nick.

How many of these GREAT players do you remember??
I went through the list of 100 players (actually, more when you consider fans vs authors).
I have seen 80 of these guys play while I’ve been actively watching the Broncos.
How about the rest of you? Do we have anyone who actually watched all 100 or so??
I would say there are at least 3 that I know of
firstfan remembers. He still talks regularly with Goose Gonsoulin. I know there are more, but I’m not confident enough to speak names. I would have to go back and count the many that I have seen, but mine only goes back to 1976. I remember Floyd Little and Lionel Taylor. They were nationally famous. (I grew up in Los A.ngeles)

Nice job!
Congratulations you all who posted this nice series.. I enjoyed it a lot!
Thank you!
I bleed Orange & Blue.
Anyone want to take a stab at a depth chart? :) This isn’t much more than the number of players in a training camp. I wonder what positions we’d be short on.
I have one loosely made up
I’ve been waiting for word of some semblance of a season before I seriously get to it. But you are right, it would be worth a look to see what position need bodies for Camp. It has been said that the Training Camp rosters could increase from 80 to 90 players, so that has to be factored in.

I think he meant a depth chart of the Broncos greatest.

Lol
Oh. I don’t think I could do better than the 50th Anniversary Teams. I mean they were voted on by the fans, so any changes I would make would end up being Homer picks.

oh no, I meant – what would a depth chart look like if it were strictly all 100 players from this list? meaning, one unique player of each number.
I also forget and wonder – which players currently on our roster have a shot at displacing whoever currently has their number…
I could probably assemble something
over the weekend. I actually hope I don’t have the time though. Come on season!

Good work Kaptain and crew
Thank you all for the series. Recommended.

What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.
Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.

With Coach Zorro on our side, we will slice opponents to ribbons. Tim Tebow gives me hope and I already have faith and charity in my heart! I see a propitious future rife with Lombardis for our Broncos!

Amazing job Kap (et. al.) !!
One of the best things to come out of this extended off-season (and would hold its own in any season). Many, many thanks from here!
You are welcome
Let’s not forget, this was John’s idea from the get-go. I was glad to follow through with the project. It gave me something to drive the lockout madness away for a bit. I merely tried to hold down the fort as many of us got totally disgusted with football. I hope this never happens again and when football resumes, this place will be Rockin!
