There is a very good chance that we are in the final day of this entire labor mess. The final issues seem to be worked out. The economic issues like the revenue split and the rookie wage scale are all but done. It looks like at least from the owners side of things, that they will vote today to ratify a new collective bargaining agreement.
John Clayton reports that NFL owners have been told by league to be prepared to vote on new CBA between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The vote by the owners requires approval of 24 or 32 owners.

A little clarification ... The NFLPA's player rep conference call, I'm told, is scheduled for 8 p.m. this evening.
There is also the players meeting conference call set up. No one is quite sure what this is but it could be for a vote from their side. First a vote for the union (NFLPA) and then a vote for the CBA would be done.
Stay tuned for updates as they come.......
