With the lockout over and the CBA approved the Denver Broncos are interested in several free agents.
Denver has an opening at defensive tackle Brandon Mebane from Seattle, and Aubrayo Franklin from SF are both on the market. Mebane is 6' 1", 311 lbs and had 31 tackles in 2010 he is run defense specialist. Franklin is 6' 1" and 317 pound his older than Mebane at age 30. Franklin had 39 tackles in 2010.
Williams and Barber are very well know running backs around the league. Williams is a Panther who is 5' 9", 217 lbs
he had 361 yards in 2010 and a 5.5 average. Barber is a likely cut in Dallas because of salary cap issues. Barber is 5' 11" and 218 lbs. in 2010 Barber put up 374 yards in 2010 3.3 average, and 4 TDs.
I like both Mebane and Barber. Barber is full back or can play stand alone running back. Barber excels ins short yardage and goal line attacks. Barber would be a good bakup for Moreno to replace White who was injured last season.
I mostly prefer Mebane because he is a younger player at 26 and has more seasons left and less injury. Although,
stat wise Franklin is higher rated with more tackles.
I have also heard that Williams may be resigned by Carolina, and is not necessarily up for grabs.
