With their agents were unable to find teams willing to make trades, Texans DT Amobi Okoye and WR David Anderson have been placed on waivers.
Amobi Okoye is available. For months, the talk of Mebane, Cofield, and Haynesworth have saturated the Broncos blogosphere, but today, I present to you Amobi Okoye.
Since the Texans' are a 3-4 defense, Amobi Okoye is expendable. In Louisville, he played in a 4-3 defense, along with former Cardinal, Elvis Dumervil. Switching from the 4-3 to the 3-4 may not be as easy for Amobi Okoye in Houston as it was for Elvis Dumervil in Denver, but I believe that a change of venue and a familiar defensive scheme in Denver could revitalize his career and awaken the beast that was drafted 10th overall by the Texans in 2007.
As a current student at the University of Louisville, it's hard for me to imagine anything more exciting than reuniting Elvis Dumervil and Amobi Okoye along the Broncos' front line.
The real question is... what do you think about it? Does Okoye fit? Would the Broncos pursue him? If so, how much should they give up to atain him? Explain in the comments.
