Renaldo Hill Released by the Denver Broncos
The Broncos have announced that they have released safety Renaldo Hill.
Renaldo Hill has been released by the Denver Broncos. After spending a number of practices on the sidelines due to dehydration, the Broncos have cut ties with the former Miami Dolphins safety. Brought in during the Josh McDaniels Era, Renaldo Hill had 2 INTs and 63 tackles during the 2010 season.
I think that this move comes as no surprise. The Broncos acquired many safeties this offseason, including second round pick Rahim Moore and fourth round pick Quinton Carter, both of whom took snaps with the first team defense during the past few days of training camp.
Josina Anderson said that this move could be to free up some room for an extra runningback. More on that story to come...
But all of us at MHR would like to wish Renaldo Hill the best of luck and thank him for the two seasons that he spent in Denver. Go Broncos!

After getting cut from an NFL team... I don't think he'll be drinking water tonight, if you know what I mean.

I found it interesting in Hill’s phone call, they told him they have ROOKIE talent at the position.
To me, it indicates it’s Moore’s job to lose.

With EFX unable to restructure Dawk’s contract so far, Carter and Moore have been running with the 1s in camp. I haven’t heard one word about McBath or Bruton. I wouldn’t be surprissed if one of them was given the pink slip soon.
I get the feeling EFX were trying to trade Hill (maybe back to MIA with Orton) and couldn’t do it.

It's a business
And I’m a Denver Broncos fan and I have the right to cheer when our boys make good decisions like cutting bums! If u don’t like, well that’s u that have to deal with it. We need to clear cap space and get younger on D especially in the secondary

Trust me....
…these same guys have cheered for others to have been cut. I bet they would also have cheered had we cut B Marsh out right. They just don’t agree this guy should get the treatment. They want to select who you should and should not cheer for to be dumped.

Renaldo Hill was anything but a bum. He was our starter for 2 years and a decently good one. He was a class act and he hasn’t made a single fuss since he’s been here.

He just said "Hallelujah!"
Don’t you think this is being a bit over the top to go after him for that?

I just fiercely disagree with his assessment that Renaldo Hill is a bum.

I'm guessing he got defensive...
….after those first few jumped down his throat like that. It peeved me enough to bud in.

Still, it was a careless thing to say. Renaldo Hill is all class.
This isn’t a Jarvis Moss situation where Hill was a bust and a total waste of money.
Hill came and and started for us for 2 years. He was worth the money and was a class act. For that, I hope he catches on somewhere and I wish him success wherever he goes.

I also like him..
…but am glad that we freed up some more cap space.

You know what fellas
You’re right I was a bit over the top with that statement…apologies I I offended anyone but I’m just happy for once our team isn’t making questionable roster moves…LeKevin Smith, Laurence Maroney…just to name a few…I still say this was a good move for our team

Hey BroncosFaN88
I don’t think many people think this was a bad move. It was a very smart move that clears up a roster spot and extra cap room. I agree with you 100% there.
I just think Hill was one of those classy guys who deserves a handshake out the door instead of a kick. That’s all.

Thank you NC
To clear it up I’ll never cheer for someone being dehydrated…just tired of our boys sucking that’s all…again Hill was ok and wish him luck…we just need to move on from this and hope that our Rookies can produce and that Dawk still at least have a good year left in him

From what heard both Rookie Safeties have
already turned heads in camp so that made Hill expendable

I can deal with the business side of the sport. You watch some good players leave or move on.
I can’t deal with intolerable blowhards like you. You don’t cheer when good men lose their livelihood. Regardless of how you see him as a player he played for the Denver Broncos and that should warrant just an ounce of your respect.
If it doesn’t, find the door.
Von Dooooooooom.
How much has Hill made in his career?
20+ million, more than most of us combined. The way I read his comment was that he was happy because it made our team better, which it did. Hill had 4 INT while with Denver.
Hate to see Renaldo Hill the human being leave but happy to see Hill the safety leave.
Jesus people are way too sensitive these days.

As a fan, I only care about the Broncos...
I throw plenty of players under the bus. Part of the game man.
Learn how to dominate your league through a solid fantasy football draft tiers. A shameless plug for a fellow Broncomaniac!
There is one caveat
to your point Christian, I work with a complete a-hole who yells at the boss (my dad) and treats everyone like dog crap. This past week at work was perfect because the lockout ended and he was gone for all five work days. Thus, if he loses his job, I shall be exuberant to say the least. Otherwise, you’re right.

I liked Hill
He was pretty good. Not great, but he was pretty good. But he was noticeably worse last year than the previous.
Looking back, when he was called for PI against the Jets last year, I think that’s really when the team’s back completely broke. They had injuries to top players, etc. that they were fighting through, but I think that was the final straw. it was like, we just beat one of the top teams in our conference, did everything right, and then we get it taken away on a (questionable) PI call. Seemed to me like they just gave up after that.
Anyway, good luck Renaldo. I liked you when you were here. And I’ll cheer for you as long as you’re not in our division.
Low-cut blouses are looked down upon in this establishment.
I liked Hill also. In addition to his playing, he was practically a coach on the field, and basically “quarterbacking” the secondary. I was honestly hoping we might hold on to him as a player-coach or something.
I’d also sort of agree about the Jets game – it was a horrible moment, but I still can’t see it as a bad play on Hill – just an unfortunate tangle and an arguable call. I think the amount of blame directed towards him is misguided and regrettable.

questionable call
an arguable call
I agree, it’s hard to blame him for the call, and I looked at several times.
The league has gone too far with these interference calls. We don’t want to reward good acting like the NBA.

we 'offered' on him before
I wondered if we be interested again. He’s actually interesting in a minor sort of way. He does a lot of good things — returns, runs smart routes, etc.

Off Topic
But so far it looks like a VERY solid rookie class.
I have heard gushing about Von Miller (coverage AND pass rush), Julius Thomas (natural pass catcher), Moore, and Carter.
Von Dooooooooom.
I can understand why the did it
With how much depth we have at safety, but Hill was head and shoulders our best safety last year, in terms of play, it wasn’t even close. Classy guy, underrated, the Jets game ruined him for many people though.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
despite all the bickering on this announcement
id like to say good luck and thank you to Renaldo Hill for his work while where the blue and orange
