Broncoman's Kool AId Flavored Predictions after 1 preseason game
I know there are no guarentees or other grand predictions you can make after one game. But I thought I would give it a try..10 kool aid flavored predictions
1) Jeremeih Johnson will be the starting RB come opening day and will rush for over 1,000 yards and have 8 rushing TD's.
2) Brady Quinn will be the starting QB for the Miami Dolphines - They aren't tradining Orton or Tebow and I look as the preseason as a way to shop Quinn's services to other teams.
3) Richard Quinn won't make this team.
4) This defense will be top 5 against the run in the league and top 15 against the pass. We will have at least 40 sacks.
5) Kyle McCarthy will be a starting safety by week 8.
6) Jarmon will be starting ahead of Ayers.
7) We will have three WR with over 800 yds each.
8) Marcus Thomas will have at least 8 sacks.
9) Von Miller will lead this team in tackles.
10) Joe Mays will make the pro-bowl.
There you have it, round one of kool-aid flavored predictions.

Damn I was hoping to keep Brady
The lesser Quinn can go. Double for Jones

Nice, I hope Miami over-pays for BQ!

Ambition drove many men to become false; to have one thought locked in the breast, another ready on the tongue.
Sallust (a wicked man reformed?)
Orton's staying...
On the plus side, the Chefs are suckin it up tonight

Granted that most of their starters didn't start but some of the play was butt ugly in the first half.
Not to mention that Cassel wasn’t allowed to throw the ball.
I just saw that Henne also had 2 picks
the first one was the receivers fault, but that second one was awful

Haley said he would take no chances with most of the starters because he didn't want any injuries, especially since they've only had 9 days to practice.
He also said this game was to evaluate the play of his 2nd and 3rd string guys, and that more or less he would use this game like it was a team practice session. He forgot one thing though, the Bucs coach had other plans which included Blitzing all the time. On offense Haley found out that the 2nd& 3rd string o-line can’t block too save their ass’s. It’s just a pre-season game but damn don’t let them shut us out at home.
I do agree that we looked sloppy and really sucked it up tonight, but we will be prepared come week one. I thought Stanzi looked pretty good and would really like to see what he could do with the first team. I thought several of our young LBs showed promise, E.Bakhtiari/ M.Johnson to name a couple. Powe also looked strong at the line of scrimmage, he could be one of our best picks in the long run after Stanzi of coarse.

Prediction for 2011:
Doctors will find out that Tebows blue balls were effecting his ability to throw a accurate pass.

Really?
I didnt think much of Stanzi. He kept getting sacked but he was behind an awful 3rd string line

I think Stanzi will look good if he gets the chance to play with the starters.
I think he excites the team and the fans, kinda like Tebow does for you guys. Palko went plunko with his chance and i hope the coaching staff moves him to 3rd on the roster. IMO Stanzi will be a better QB than Cassel and will be the Chiefs Franchise QB in the future.

And I scored a 29 when I tried it
Think I should try out for the Chiefs?

Stanzi has those ansy feet like Tebow does without the physicality.
I’ve noticed two or 3 young QBs with those issues so far in early pe-season. He did have some nice passes when he had time. Tampa Bay are a physical team and they may make a push in their division this year if they stay healthy.
Your 2nd-3rd team OLine is sorta like ours with hardly any depth, but I look at it this way, they won’t be playing as a unit in the regular season only as subs, so it might not be that bad. I don’t like Haley’s philosophy here in not starting some of the regular starters. These guys need a little pop since the offseason was so short and this may come back to bite him in the butt. The more time they get on the field the better they will progress.
Remember it is just the beginning and the Chiefs will have to show why they should be AFC West Champs again, because as one commentator said, the Chiefs only played ‘2’ playoff teams last year with a slightly easier schedule than most of the other playoff teams. I think the Broncos played 8-9 playoff teams and it might not make too much of a deal, but it is something to think about. Our road is no less easier this year either, but that’s what I want. I want the Broncos to beat quality teams if they are going to do it. Be competitive.

No doubt
This year the Chiefs have to man up, and prove they deserved to be AFC west Champs last year. I think Haley made a mistake by not having us hit at practice and it showed in the game with a lot of missed tackles. But damn when have you watched a week 1 pre-season game and seen so much blitzing. Tampa bought it and the Chiefs didn’t respond in any way which was a mistake. Haley should have told Crennel to send blitz after blitz until Tampa coach calmed down some. I would have told my guys to put that QB on his ass and hard every time he touches the ball. If it took sending all 11 guys that’s what i would have done. Just to get the point accrossed.

okay...
1) That would be nice, numbers wise, but that won’t happen unless there is an unfortunate injury to McGahee or Moreno.
2) Cool… do we get Hillis back? Or at least the 4th round pick?
3) Duh!
4) Good Lord, I hope so.
5) McCarthy? LOL! Vaughn has a better chance at the starting SS.
6) Whatever, as long as they’re great.
7) Awesome, but that’ll be hard running it as much as we’re supposed to.
8) Again, awesome.
9) Once more, awesome.
10) Okay, that’s a little hard to believe.
JJ for President
Jeremeih Johnson will be the starting RB come opening day and will rush for over 1,000 yards and have 8 rushing TD’s.
I would love it if JJ could supplant Knowshon and Willis. Although both looked good last night, it’ll take more evidence for mind to change on them. JJ on the other hand, looked like the best back. Granted, it was against camp fodder. But he has some nice tools.
And I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: If there’s one thing I know, it ’s how to act like I know alot about running backs.
Truth shall be known.

All these have a possibility
except Mays. I feel he’ll make some awesome hits but his recklessness will cause him to whiff on some easy tackles. I really hope Irving can supplant him once he gets healthy. Mays is a good ST guy (has the mindset) but I don’t want him starting
Raiders suck
Chargers are whiny douches
Chiefs are meh
The problem is Irving may never get healthy
Im really hoping this guy makes it, but that car crash may have prevented that

I thought it was his ankle that was the problem
and he had that beast senior year after the injury

This injury is not related to previous injuries...Ankle sprains cn be bad though and he may lose some of the season.

I hope so
I just assumed that his injury was related to the accident. I didnt actually know what the injury was. Im still jaded by all the injury prone McD picks.

Injuries are a part of the game and all teams go through it, some easier than others.
Great teams are built on good solid ‘depth’ charts and a prime example was the Packers last year with they injuries they fought through. Our team basically folded it doors when Dumervil went down to injury and it showed poor planning on the prior regime. This new regime looks like they are gearing for the injury bug and that gives me more confidence that this crew knows a little bit about team planning.

I was impressed with how the 2nd team D line played
glad to see there’s depth there

number 3 might be the only one of these that comes true
except I can see von miller leading the team in tackles, the dudes always around the ball.
excellent.
those, my friend, are predictions with some meat on them. enough of the “orton may or may not start” kind of stuff—these are real life, ballsy predictions that will make you an instant genius if they work out. i’ll be the first to raise a toast if you nail three or more of these babies. recommended for putting your neck out there.
Haha
I’m with you ox. Three would be pretty good.

All I can say is.......
there seems to be a lot of feverishness like that going around…..
i think 7 are pissible
I don’t think #‘s 1&2 will happen, and if #9 happens then #10 wont. Mays will have to lead the team by a lot to make the pro bowl and it may happen because if he starts he’ll turn (and rattle) some heads people love big hits exept the commish.
