Wow
I was hoping for Nate Jones! How on earth does he stay on the team. They can get someone of the 16th street mall that can play as good as he has.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Now they won’t play “Layla” whenever Derek gets a sack!!!
They are making room for
yet another player named Orton and that will make three Ortons
If I can't have high expectations that succeed, I''d rather have high expectations and be disappointed than have low expectations and be resigned to losing.

Hmmmm
I wouldn’t be surprised if this was done so that we can pick up Aaron Maybin, seeing as Buffalo gave up on him as a 3-4 OLB despite him playing DE in college. (a situation similar to that of current defensive ends robert ayers and derrick harvey)
He weighed in to camp at 228 lbs
Not saying he couldn’t be brought in, but it would be an odd experiment and I don’t see any position for him at this point other than a rush linebacker in a 34.
OK, so Brian and The Johns really did very well at the Defensive Tackle position, especially considering the limited cash budget they likely had to work with. I no longer hear laughter from opposing RBs in my nightmares!!!
What is Dell's situation?

I have to echo kimbertr here...
Why in the world hasn’t Nate Jones been cut!?

No suprise on Leonard
He didn’t make it out of Camp Fox last year either.
I wonder who we’re going to add.

Maybin is a possibility
Doubt it though. I live near buffalo, and this guy is not worth it. He showed up to camp not in football shape, like rodney said around 228lbs. Way too small for a 4-3 DE. The guy doesnt have instincts to play OLB, I’d pass on the guy.
Also his passion to play football has been widely questioned, and idk if i’d want a guy like that on our team, taking away reps for other guys.
Honestly i hope its some OL depth, McKinnie is out there, but hes way out of shape, Big Leonard Davis is available. Id start him over beadles for sure.
I wondered about Tony Ugoh......
He was released by the Lions. I don’t know how bad he actually is, but he does have starting experience. Might make a good back up on the O-Line.
Davis-- Really
Davis—really. Where does this stuff come from? The “anybody but Beadles and Walton” is really worn out.
Davis is done. He’s got maybe a year or two left probably as a backup or a fill in for an injured guy. The cost of bringing in an over the hill guy like Davis is way too high for not much of a contribution. Denver isn’t on the verge of going to the Super Bowl needing a backup O Line guy.
In addition, the last few years Davis has been racking up penalties as fast as he has his pay. Denver needs a few more penalties to stop the few drives they have with momentum.
Beadles and Walton, especially Beadles, is going to be prime time this year. Give it a few games and the “anybody but Beadles” sh*t will be history. It wasn’t right in the first place, and it’s way wrong now. Beadles is the next Leonard Davis on the rise instead of on the decline, and he’s a hell of lot cheaper!
release jones
and get maybin.
Be a legend but don't overdo it.
DJ Williams setting out of practice this afternoon.
Since we have two voids to fill what say you on who is up for coming.
Agreed! Jones should have been cut as well! He's is TERRIBLE!
He’s was by far the weakest player on the defense against the Cowboys, and ultimately his play or lack thereof is why they scored at the end of the game (TWICE). He also showed numerous times last season that he was not deserving of a starting or back up position. I’d rather gamble on an undrafted CFA than continue with this guy.
Maybin could be world a kicking of the tires so to speak. The guy had quite a bit of upside coming out of college a few years back, and getting drafted early in the 1st round. and 3rd string OL needs depth also, as does the LBs and DBs.

Doesnt the team have to trim down to a certain amount of players before nwxt preseason game?
That’s always been my understanding. I can’t remember or really have the time to look it up but the team after every preseason game has to get down a lower number and by game 1 they have to be down to 46. There should be more cuts coming.

I think the next cut is in 2 wks, down to 75

31 yrs old
there will be better prospects between now and start of regular season, especially at 75 and 53 cut-downs. don’t get too anxious.
