It won't be too long now until I get to hear this famous cheer from the fans when the opposing QB misses a pass (especially P. Rivers). But this isn't what this post is all about. Incomplete really applies to any evaluation of any & all of the changes that have taken place since McDaniel's firing.
It won't be until the end of the season until we know if John Elway was the right choice or if keeping Brian Xander as GM was the right call or if hiring John Fox as head coach was what Denver needed. This isn't a cop out on forimg an opinion about any of these three position BUT the bottom line is wins and losses this season. I'd really want the Denver Broncos
to be 4-0 in the preseason, 16-0 in regular season and 3-0 in the post season. At that point I and every other bronco fan will have to say the EFX were all the correct decisions. Again, it is all about wins and losses.
After reading about the training camp updates and the coming and goings of free agents, there are many opinions about every little step that Orton, Tebow and Quinn takes and how each pass thrown looks. Each of the QBs has flaws. Denver has brought in free agent and some left unsigned and that creates opinions about the effectiveness of the front office. Again the bottomline is wins and loses. Day to day training camp updates are nice to read BUT I really want to see what happens during the preseason games and beyond. I hope that all 3 QB perform well as I also hope that each bronco player does the job they are suppose to do. Make the choices hard for the coaches and front office. I don't care if it is Orton, Tebow or Quinn or Moreno or McGahee or someone else who may or may not be on the roster yet that make the Broncos a better team. It is only after the games that we get glimpses of our depth chart
Bottomline is wins and losses; I am going to try to avoid the Orton/Tebow rhetoric that has started up again. I am going to enjoy seeing how the new additions to the Broncos work out and hope for the 23-0 2011- 2012 season The evaluation of the front office staff and Bronco players will take place throughout the season and I'll return in February 2012 with my evaluation.
