I'm on my second viewing of the game - lots of interesting stuff going on - my complete thoughts to come. One thing I can say - we have a very solid coaching staff. The improvement from last week to this week, it terms of execution, is undeniable.
My observation - Kyle is playing Angry. I LOVE IT. He's no longer the awe shucks, just glad to be here guy. He's like, "Y'all wanna take my job. K. Come and get it." No more my bad my bad my bad, awe shucks. The moment that crystalized this for me was when, after Dareus sacked him in the first quarter, Dareus tried to extend Kyle a hand to help him up. Kyle refused, and picked himself up off the dirt. I was put off by it at first, from a sportsmanship perspective,, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. Orton needs to play with that edge - and it seems that Brady breathing down his neck is doing the trick. That's right - I didn't mention Timmy here.
Also - is it just me or has Vern Lundquist lost it. He mispronounced / misstated names like 30 times. Since when does Fells resemble, in any way, Brandon Lloyd? Yeesh.
