Every Clod Has a Michael Silver Lining

Have the Bronco faithful become the witch hunting mob that lights up the torch and forks for every wart bearing lady walking in the woods? Silver is mopping up hits like circa 80's MTV, in his recent article on yahoo, he claims a Bronco source verbally grounded Tebow's game below that of an un-drafted rook. OK that is one horrid looking hag, I can't deny a certain train wreck fascination in my own mind. As if I can't wake from a nightmare that must be, just must be, all in my head. Frankly I believe that is exactly what this all boils down to.

Some people think this "source" in Silvers article was someone like Elway trying to cushion the fall from Tebow, his fans will feel when we cut him. Seriously? Why would any former quarterback, no matter the success, side arm someone under the bus based on a few weeks of camp? Especially in someone's second, lockout shortened, season in a pro style offense. My question became what is the motivation behind people even reading an article like this? I believe it comes down to patience. A starving, cracked up squirrel could show more patience surrounded by roasted almonds, then Bronco fans seem to show about the quarterback position. Have we all forgotten the milk curdling performance Brady Quinn showed in last years camps and preseason? Based solely on the contrast of that season with this years Dr. Jekyll he pulled, wouldn't you want to give Tebow at least the time left in his contract? If a 5th year, 1st round "bust" can turn it around, why not anyone? (ok I have to admit Raider 1st rounders may not apply) If Tebow truly has all of the not so tangibles he is credited with, this disappointing season will galvanize his determination.

As this whole situation sparked me to write my first FanPost, I would hope for any criticism, and discussion it brings. Thanks in advance,
